Those companies don't want to integrate with a $500 lab balance and they lack the resources to build that part.
I had a v3 and sold it because changing powders was a pain IMO.
V4 should have been better but I decided to wait for a supertrickler instead.
They should be shipping soon.
@Formidilosus my Atacr looked exactly like that- I thought it was cracked but ended up just being an adhesive issue after sitting in the car on a hot TN day. Apparently the atacrs had a run with defective adhesives. NF got me fixed up quick.
No doubt Forms knows his optics and I certainly don't...
Love this thread.
As a person with a job / life / hobbies always short on time, I took the advice of some crazy internet logger - "kiss, find pressure, and rock on". It's given me my weekends back with zero detriment to accuracy.
Oh, and I sold the charge master, autotrickler, and other...
I enjoy my suppressed Henry lever with 180 grain xtp. Also have a 9mmg upper on for the AR.
Haven't tried big game subsonic and don't intend to. Even varmints succumb too slowly at subsonic velocity IMO
I own a couple nightforce products, but as a company they really irritate me.
Now I'm speaking from ignorance as I have no idea how the biz side of an optics company works, but it irks me that they don't offer what we need.
An NX8 1-8 with the dmx reticle.
Decent hunting reticle in the baby...
If it's just for both guns I would do the tbac ultra 7 and a heartbeat.
That can be pretty gassy on an AR though so I would also pick up the dedicated ar and I wouldn't be afraid to go cheap with something like a Yankee Hill resonator k or turbo k.
I had this happen to a 1-6. Empty, bolt open on a barricade, I stepped asside to pick up some brass, had a heavy stellite can front flip the rifle forward with significant centrifugal force- turret absorbed 100% of the impact.
Bent so hard it was almost impossible to turn it with bare hands...
it's a much better scope than my skills justify, but I got it for ~$1600 used so the risk was minimal. It was actually a pretty early model that had an adhesive failure, but NF took care of me.
Lots of deals out there if you're willing to slum a Mil-R
I bought the low hunting mount for a 4-16x42 atacr, and the bottom of the turret housing wouldn't fit.
In the end I went with the 419 rail and rings.
I'm learning I don't really care for low scopes anyhow since my glasses don't correct my astigmatism as well at the top of the lense.
Bump for info-
Anyone running the 180eldm?
That's the only bullet that seems to justify the hassle over the 147 / 6.5 cm.
I figure the 195 is a bit too slow in a 20-24" Sporter.
So just to be explicitly clear-
You and others have gone from AMP to bench source and are happy with that decision?
Have you actually observed any detrimental effects in the actual outcome?
I don't currently anneal, but want to get setup.
You might be saving me some $$$
6x is in stock now. I ordered another yesterday.
But even the 3-9 is sourced easily via classifieds.
Lug an atacr around for a few days and you'll call ~20 oz an ultra light.
