Well, I took it as you have already done it! It’s just a piece of carbon fiber tube I have had for a while epoxied onto a Clark custom guns barrel nut.
I really like using the Spartan bipod/tripod system so I need to figure out a good way to run one of there adapters on it
I’m sure I missed it along the way but what light weight folding stock options are there for these builds? And are there other non buffer tube functioning carbon fiber options similar to the Taccom buttstock since it will apparently never be in stock
I run a 19.5 inch barrel on my 7mm-08 and definitely like it with a suppressor. I would imagine 18 would be even handier.
I still get 2750 fps with a below book max load of big game and the 150 eldx. I would assume cutting to 18 inches would still get you 2700 fps which would make it...
I feel I’m really hard on gear and other than dropping my SLC 10x42 out of a 22 foot tree stand I have had no issues.
My 10x42 NL pures haven’t caused me a single issue (and have dropped them multiple times)
If you want to see some fragile eyepieces use some Steiner peregrine XP’s. Holy crap...
probably asking for to much here but a carbon fiber option for the Blaser k95 would be amazing. Nothing out there but the weird factory thumbhole stock
It’s just a 5/8 inside diameter 3/4 outside diameter aluminum tube from Amazon. Mine came in a little undersized which is why I had to dremel the inside but a true 5/8 inside should fit perfectly.
here is the aluminum tube I was talking about for blocking the gas port. Had to open the inside up just a bit with a dremel to fit. Then hammered it on when I got it close. I can’t see why this shouldn’t work? Cost essentially nothing
I bought some aluminum tubing to fit over where the gas block goes. Hopefully will get to this project in the next couple weeks and find out if that works or not.
I run my omega 36m on my 358 Winchester and 35 whelen with no issues. That’s what it was designed for.
I also run it on smaller bores and it still suppresses well. I have been very happy with mine.
From all the lefty options listed (and I do own all of the ones listed above) I would go with the tikka with 16 inch threaded barrel. I run a suppressor on mine and it keeps the total package short even with the suppressor attached.
Another option I’m not sure you have considered but is worth...
It would be nice to have a stock option readily available for the small diameter actions out there such as the kimbers. Most other companies stocks won’t work well because they are designed for large diameter actions which leaves way to much material around these smaller diameter actions. You...
It holds up great but they aren’t really comparable. Cerakote is a coating while nitride is an actual change to the surface of the metal itself. Nitride doesn’t add any thickness to anything and treats the bore/inside of action that cerakote can never be applied. And honestly those are areas...
I believe I have done 5 complete rifles (all the steel components) and am very impressed. All have been done by H&M. All of my barrels have been either litely used or brand new and have had no issues at all. It’s awfully nice to not have to worry about rust inside or out anymore!
I had a...
