    6mm CM Hornady Factory ELDX Velocities...

    I lost nearly 100fps in a different lot of factory 108eldm. No change in 100 yard zero or precision. If I wasn't chronographing them, I'd have no idea. Between that and my 7prc, it's enough to make me throw my hands up and say, "Fine, I'll fricken handload if you're going to be like that."

    I got a quote from one of the cheap options on wikiarms.com for $708 for a stainless 8tw 22-250. Personally, I'd go stainless if it's close. Might get more for the barrel takeoff.

    I'm new to this, so I've never actually seen it and this might be a dumb question, but what about bullets coming apart in flight? Does anything make it to the target? Does it always happen at the muzzle or could it happen right before impact in some anomalous case?
