I have been doing the same since September, everybody points back to a handful of outfits. There has to be more out there who would the locals use surely there not paying that. If you don't mind me asking what unreliable options have you found you can pm me.

Thanks Larry Both good options from what I have heard. But I'm looking more for pilots that fly by the hour instead of package deals . I have the locations and gear already hard to pay 8-12k for 8 hrs flight time at the max.

Can't wait to get back to Alaska on another moose hunt.
Trying to find other options then the big name outfits for bush flights. Seems there are very few that work that area. Anybody have a name of smaller operation.

Thanks for the insight we are going to give it a shot definitely going to pack the layers and a hot tent. One of the rangers in the area was saying that some roads get snowed in tell spring have you had any issues with this and are tire chains necessary.

No matter what pack you decide make sure to bring extra buckles and straps had 1 buckle and 2 attachment points tear loose on a brand new kifaru tactical frame this year almost left us in a bad spot for packing

Thanks was a trip to remember it wasn't the shipping that got us it was the price of meat flights doubled but we went with Alaska Pike safaris learned alot for the next trip.
