I'm running a XD-40SC in a Further Faster Designs chest rig. I also carry a small pair of Zeiss Terra EDs and a Burris rangefinder in it...

There are a lot of ALICE bags that work for cheap. If you have a variety of buckles, you can make even more fit. I bought a FILBE bag, (Mystery Ranch designed the FILBE, so perfect fit) a few straps and buckles for compression really help too.
A 65 liter ILBE dry bag is worth thinking about...
The FILBE bag is a Mystery Ranch design. I have one for my NICE frame, it fits like it was made for it, because, it was.
If you go this route, I highly recommend adding compression straps horizontally, the FILBE bag is HUUUUGE.
I need one of these. (have a Kifaru Woobie and a Woobie Express) Between the toggles, bungee, and the ability to make this into a sleeping bag and lots of other configurations, I see getting a lot more use out of it..
Glad to see Joe come to market with these, and excited to see what's next...
Molle Express is a discontined Kifaru pack. I liked the volume for him, but the suspension didn't fit, so I pulled the stays, shoulder straps and belt and put the bag on the frame and added a Kifaru Gun Bearer to add external organization. The rifle fits between the bag and frame.

I bought mine from TiGoat for $45 and sewed it in myself with a Speedy Stitcher. Cutting the holes is easy, width is the diameter of the pipe, and the height is ovalized to adjust for the angle of the tent wall vs the vertical pipe.
If you want to go cheaper, Harbor Freight has welding...
I am a curmudgeon and have lots of old 1000D Kifaru. I also have a Crew Cab, a pop up 18, and a 3 DAP. I wouldn't stuff either of those packs like I would my Kifaru packs. I also am not crazy about Kifaru's center zips, or, really, about 500D. (things like loading packs on vehicles or strapping...
Heck yes, but, then again, I've done 5 days in a Kifaru X-Ray.... If I were to do a 5 day hunting trip, I'd probably take the 22 Mag. That's saying a lot. I've got a LOT of packs to choose from. The reason for my choice there is that it would limit my packed load volume. This wouldn't be...
That 22 mag rode fine on my NICE frame. Used it snowmobiling on Saturday holding a shovel and snowshoes, (it's tall enough to fit my MSR Denalis inside!) then used it to 4 full loads of river rocks for my wife's landscaping project. I'd guess 80 lbs of rocks inside without using the side...
Weird zippers on the Sawtooth scared me off of that and pretty much any of MR's tri-zips. The panel opening on the 22 Mag and the side pockets did it for me, I just got one on Friday. Used it this weekend snowmobiling and rock hauling. (on a NICE frame, I'd traded my 26" duplex off, may...
I've got a Crew Cab. Haven't hauled meat in it yet. I pictured putting it in between the side pockets and the main back pocket. That meat shelf is designed so that the 3 pockets and their straps all compress that load.
I just picked up a Kifaru 22 Mag today, will be trying that on my NICE...
+1. If you don't know, pods8 is his handle, he's a Rokslide sponsor, and with a little back and forth via email, can make whatever you want. I have a NICE pack, and he's currently making modular pockets like the Kifaru Loco and 22 MAG have, prices are reasonable for production stuff, let alone...
The sponsor you mentioned is Western Edge Gear. https://westernedgegear.com/ If you search Rokslide you'll find other posts. Here are pics of my 10 year old son packing all of his own gear and a Ruger 1022. This pack transformed him from a whiner into a little stud, comfortable, confident...
The Pintler's 2,500 cubic inches, I've managed a tent, pad, bag, bivy, stove, food, water, layers of clothes in that volume (2,400 Kifaru Molle Express) for winter snowshoeing overnights. As others have mentioned, you could put your sleep system/shelter underneath leaving more room inside...
Here's a thought, designed for weight lifters/football players pulling weighted sleds. I tend to think that attachment ought to be above the waist and below the shoulders so you kind of lean forward to pull...
I sewed one in a GoLite SL-5 with a Speedy Stitcher and braided fishing line about 11 years ago. Not that hard. You can either buy a stove jack or google "Welding Blanket Stove Jack" and see the $15 Harbor Freight item they're talking about.
