    My opinion is that Goretex is good for stopping wind, and external moisture if the DWR on the face fabric is good. Frost inside the bivy means it isn't breathing and is keeping the moisture in... No biggie at 30F. -30F is box stove weather in the morning for me, or, SD road hunting pheasant...
