    Elk will tolerate a lot of snow, especially if it means avoiding the pressure of hunters. Let your glass do the walking, you will find elk. The Caloric intake is big, the better the feed and easier to access the better your chances. Good luck!

    Small upland birds, will do it in the field or end of the day in the field. Ducks/Geese sometimes hang them, but just use a knife and debreast them.

    Really depends, for summer scouting I try to stay out of the bucky habitat as best I possibly can. Which means using the spotter to really pick them apart. Its hard though, some places you have to glass in tight, not other option.

    Once you have three it has turned into a zone defense where you are outnumbered no matter what. So...honestly other than the cost of diapers and food, you really don't notice it. Especially if you get luck and put enough time between child number one and number 4, number 1 takes care of number 4...
