I like the e collar more, especially for off leash training. That way you don't have to be close enough to give them a love tap.
If the collar isn't on, I also train for a finger snap. If they don't listen after the snap, then a swat to the butt (or take the time to get the e collar)
I hear you man, I think you only need the V5.
Vortex says you can get to 1000 with a simple 3-9x.

I chose the V5 because of exactly what you said extra money and weight for red dot batteries.
How likely are you to be in a position where you can't take an animal because you needed higher than 15x? Based off your answer above, is the extra money and weight worth it?
I wouldn't call that a dink, nor a problem. I'm no wildlife biologist, but cervid numbers are mostly based on doe numbers and quality of habitat. The males make their rounds. I understand the better buck next year mentality on private land, but it's too much to ask for on public. That mentality...
38x30 standard fit Duluth trading pants. Nothing wrong with them, selling because I lost weight and they're falling off.
4-way stretch material, mildly water resistant. They worked well for me in early season. I especially like the pocket on the right leg for phone/knife/GPS, and that the right...
If you do a change of address with the post office, they normally send that coupon. Just pick and old address of yours and say your moving to your current address. It's not wrong, it's just delayed, and you get the coupons when you can actually use them.
High quality, used DSLR (think 5-10 years old, $200-$500 range for just the camera). Nikon or cannon, maybe Sony if you like. And a couple lenses, no more than 3: regular zoom like 18-55 or 18-200, macro or low f stops, maybe a huge zoom lens or a cool prime lens.
The camera tech doesn't change...
Intermittent fasting has worked well for me. I'm down 35#. 20 of which were last year.
Easiest way to start is to skip breakfast and get your coffee black. It's not a fast with cream and sugar. Only water, black coffee/tea.
There are two 'you', the one who wants to lose weight, and the one who...
I agree and personally have a light 308 for an almost everything gun, but I know I'll pick up a caliber with more authority if/when I go for true big game.
If I truly only had one gun for the rest of forever, I'd want the extra uumpf of a 30-06, or go the other direction and pull a Jack...
