I leave my tall adapter attached and it fits in the side pocket of my exo no problem. Sure it sticks up a little but the tall is definitely worth it in my opinion.
I like mine. Had it down to 12 degrees with a klymit static v pad and just my base layer merino on. Slept like a baby. When I woke up I didn’t want to crawl out of it.
Thinking of going either with Liteoutdoors 12" stove or the TiGoat 12" cylinder stove to put in either a Luxe hexpeak XL or cimarron. I'm very new to this stove thing so am curious as to what you guys think about either of the stoves. Is there another option for stoves I am missing? The seek...
I'm looking at the sirui backcountry combo on SandSArchery but my buddy has a slik 634 with a benro head and loves his. What do you guys think? are there any benefits to running sirui over the slik? Basically what are the pros and cons of each? Going to be getting outdoorsman adapter for my...
Could anyone explain the packed size roughly of the LBO and vestibule? I really like the looks and weight of this setup for a 1-2 man shelter but can't seem to find a good size comparison of the packed size. Is it a solid backpacking option? Also, how does it hold up to snow? I will be hunting...
Scott,
I would be interested in that sirui deal for $307 and free shipping. My question is, how is the ball head in comparison to a panhead for glassing with binos? I'm getting the outdoorsmans adapter and have been torn between a ball head and pan head. Any insight as to the pros and cons of...
I think I would rather just have the fuel canister stove... To me, finding wood would be a chore especially after a long hike back to camp. You're going to be hungry and want food fast. Plus, you won't have to worry about an ember flickering up into your tent canopy with the fuel canister...
I have used mine for one season now. Slept in it October in Idaho at 15 degrees outside and was toasty warm. Quality seems okay for the money. I have yet to find feathers slipping out of it anywhere. It's not treated down so be careful about keeping it dry. In all, I like it and will be using it...
WHAT A HUNT!!
Never saw an elk in 7 days and over 50 miles on the boots. I have two regrets, I wish I would have backpack camped and I wish I would have gotten off the trails earlier in the week. As this was the first time to the area, I stayed on the trails the first few days to get a feel of...
Does anybody use the lined guide pro pants from eddie bauer? Looking for a late October pant for Idaho this year. I have two pairs of the guide pro pants for early season and I love them so far. Just wondering what others would suggest for a October elk hunt in Idaho.
Does anybody have any experience with the Luxe 2p minipeak tipi? Looking at getting one but was curious as to how waterproof/durable they are.
Thanks in advance.
So I will be chasing elk this year at the end of October. I’m wondering how to hunt the burn areas during this time of year. I know that elk love em in September, but wondering if they still use them at the end of October? I would imagine the bulls are trying to feed to put on some winter weight...
