Where do you send it to to heat treat? You guys think I should start with saw blades? I want something that will hold an edge long enough to get through a full deer.
Anybody ever made a knife? I have been looking at vids on youtube about knife building with just a 1x30 belt sander and a DIY forge. Seems pretty easy to do just gotta buy the tools to do it.
Anybody attempt it? My goal for the year is to build a knife and use it to dress a deer this fall.
I pick mostly mule deer sheds, I have an exo 3500 for when I think I will be in elk sheds. Mostly looking for a short little whitetail/mule deer shed hunt and for gear in and out of the truck to work.
I want one without a hipbelt for just hiking around light and carrying a holster on my hip is more comfortable than the belt. Also dont like the belt for things like airport travel or just in and out of my truck.
do you guys think I am foolish to not want a hip belt? I have an exo 3500 for hauling. Just want something for shed hunting and edc. I see the stone glacier day packs all have belts… can those be removed and used as a stand alone pack?
Curious on thoughts for a nice daypack without a belt. I want something light and fast for shed hunting but also have the compression straps to strap antlers on. I dont think I want a hip belt though, is this a bad thought?
Thanks!
Fiocchi golden pheasant 2&3/4 inch 5 shot. I find that 5 shot is ideal between pellet number and knockdown. 4s dont pattern as well and 6s are pretty light for late season feathers
