Had the same thing happen last fall with vx6. Confirmed zero before driving to Idaho with 20 rounds. Got to camp after a long highway drive. Gun was in the back seat in padded hard case. Shot to confirm and was off 6” high 2” right.
Then it didn’t want to track to adjust when I tried to re zero.
TTSX will kill. Is there way better bullets for KILLING consistently out there….. hell yes. If your gun shoots them really well then a heart,
Or double lung shot should be no problem and that’s what you will NEED to do for that bullet to be lethal in a timely manner 100% of the time. Yes shit...
Hopefully not dying… i started reloading just because we didn’t have any 300 wsm on the shelf anywhere here in CA. I’m getting it really dialed in now. It shoots 200 eldx, 208 eldms, and 200 DRTs. Really well. It will also shoot Barnes TTSX 180s very good as well.
Sticking with the DRT per CA...
Thank you for the information. I like straight forward loading. I’m not trying to waste an lb of powder to find some mystical mode that only works with three shot groups.
I’ll definitely try some loaded like this. Just to clarify I seat it to a depth where the start of the boat tail taper...
Definitely interested. I think I snagged 200 to start. But would definitely take them. I’m using them in my .243 and plan to use them regularly if the group well.
Thanks for the update. I think I came up with 43 because max in the Speer book was 44. I’ll definitely do a little more digging before dropping charges.
I love 4350 and would prefer accuracy over speed any day. 41 grains sounds like a great place to start.
Any advice for this combo would be great. Especially when it comes to jump and powders you’ve had success with. I’ll be starting with samples of a few powders I already have… IMR 4350, superformance, and h4350.
