    Does it have to be a custom rifle? Savage [and I believe Ruger] make accurate, if not gorgeous, rifles with stocks that are easy to fit to shooters as they grow. My other suggestion would be to look at a Grayboe stock with an adjustable LOP. They have inlets for a lot of different rifles.

    I am sorry you had to go through all that just to end up back where you started. I had a poor CS experience with a Springfield pistol. Based upon my call to CS, I got the feeling that they tolerated a lot more QA production issues vs other companies in their price range.

    I have heard it works, but have never tried it. If it is clean and still stinks, you might try reaching out to a professional cleaner. Professional cleaners like ServPro use ozone generators to kill odors after fires.
