I have an astigmatism and all red dots are starburted to my eyes.
Didn't realize this until I picked up a friend's AR with an EOtech thinking it was going to be better than my cheap sig Romeo and vortex sparc, It was startburst as well.
His did have a magnifier and it got a little less fuzzy of...
Does yours have the smoke setting?
If I want added smokiness to something, I'll start it out on the smoke setting for 30-45mins then crank up the heat. Meats stop taking smoke after a certain temp so I try to hit it smoke heavy before 200°
The dampness could play a part.
Be sure and examine...
No experience with the pad but the Big Agnes Rapide SL double looks like it might be a decent option. Plus it's on sale on the website right now.
Have you thought about getting two regular sized pads and strapping them together?
Also more power to you for backpack camping with a 1.5 year old.

Basically a NF SHV 2.5-10-40/42 without the illumination, 5-8oz lighter, FFP and something like the SHR-mil.
Everything capped but solid enough turrets that if you wanted to leave the elevation cap off to dial you could no worries.
I feel that scope would...
I noticed they changed up the colors some but didn't realize that on the sizes. Good thing you took note before the changes hit.
That's a pretty big difference in size on the riff and disco.
I noticed campsaver and a few other places had several nemo bags on clearance. Guess the new stuff...
@mtwarden if you're looking loaded 95gr NBT the Winchester Supreme Silver tip 95gr is the same bullet but with the black lubalox coating and a silver plastic tip.
Haven't killed anything yet with the 95gr .243 but have killed lots with winchester .30-'06 168gr NBT silver tips. Bullet has...
Interior size wise roomiest order is sonic and stalker, disco, riff. According to the specs on the website. Can't speak to real world use, sorry.
Good friend of mine has the disco 15, he's about your size maybe a bit heavier. Side sleeper. He talks it up when the subject arises. Said it's...
Well just got home from mine and it wasn't bad at all. I've had teeth cleanings that went worse and more painful.
I definitely built it up to be way worse.
Didn't take the pre-op med for anxiety.
Only had one prep nurse that was with me from call back until she walked me to the check out...
It does NOT work, I repeat it does NOT work!
Doesn't matter how strong your pull out game is there is always that one Olympic champ swimmer who will set a world record.
Also thanks everyone for the comments and advice. I'm going no pre-op meds. Definitely don't want to go through the...
There was one honey crisp apple in the fruit basket when I left for work this morning. My guess there will be none when I get home. Wife or daughter probably ate it now that I'm wanting an apple because of this stupid thread.
While on the topic of apples maybe someone can shed some light on my...
I know this thread is about a year old now but I'm on deck to get mine Thursday and super nervous about it.
This thread has helped and not helped me feel any better about it.
The anxiety med they prescribe is Xanax, which the one time I've taken it gave me the exact opposite reaction it's...
Anywhere up and down Broadway is going to give you a live music show, just walk around and pick one that has your vibe.
The Parthenon is pretty cool and interesting. Having seen the actual Parthenon, makes this one even cooler.
Jack's BBQ, just around the corner from the Ryman.
The Ryman for...
Yes it's the xbolt speed ovix.
It's very easy to get behind and has a very forgiving eyebox. Mine is mounted in the dnz tactical one piece, I think it saved 5ish oz over the Warne rail and rings.
I don't have an accupoint to give you a comparison but I'd say they're both going to be good enough...
I still kick myself in the a$$ every single time I think about passing up those t3 deals from euro optic. I was unsure of the website because the prices were so cheap and had only handle one tikka to date at that time.
If only I knew then what I know now, I would have snatched up one in every...
I'd go with the accupoint if you're counting ounces, if not the NF SHV 3-10x42 for what you're using it for.
You can leave the cap off the elevations if you know you're going to be in a dialing situation.
I have one of my shv's on an xbolt and really like it.
I think you'd be pleased with...
I did a duck about 20yrs ago and it turned out decent but nowhere near what a professionally done bird looks like.
You can definitely save some money but you're also going to have to invest a lot of time if you want your stuff to look presentable for an over the hearth mount.
My suggestion...
