Outdoorsmans Bino Adapter for SIRUI VA-5 Head

You’ll need either an arca plate or the outdoorsman’s to arca plate (shown in pics) they make that screws on the bottom of the bino adapter that looks a little cleaner and has a smaller footprint. But a regular Arca plate will work fine.

    Maven binos

I have not had hands on the Maven 15x56s, so take this with a grain of salt. I currently have the B6 12x50 and Swaro 15x56s. Prior to the SLC 15x56s, I had the Sig Zulu9 15x56 (current model is Zulu10). I *think* the Zulu9 is essentially the same binocular (made in same factory in Japan) as...

Couple of weird things I witnessed last week. Summertime crazies?

Odd to find this thread after I just watched a man climbing a ladder while carrying another ladder. Kicker is, when he got to the top, he took the bonus ladder he climbed up on the roof with....dropped it down and then climbed down on that one. So there was an up ladder, and a down...

    Crispi Lapponia III

I am a 9.5 in everything else Crispi (and most other shoes/boots), but sized down to 9 in Lapponia II and Attiva. Ultimately, just too much room in the toe box on the Lapponia IIs. Felt like a boot version of Altra Lone Peaks. If you like Altras, youll likely like the Lapponia. Did they...

    Jetboil Stash at high altitude

I used it last year from around 8500-10500, and was pretty impressed at the boil times. I thought I had a video so I could tell you, but I mustve deleted it. I have a Reactor, a Soto Windmaster and the Stash. Before last year, I probably wouldve thought the Stash would be 3rd in line. I took...

    backcountry power

I use the Ravpower or Anker 20k. I prefer the ravpower, seems like it charges devices faster, and is usually cheaper. I got the current 20k for 30 bucks. I have a few of each, I havent charged 1 of the older ravpower 20ks (model shows the % of battery left) in at least a year and it still...

    Question on Kifaru Bino harness

They dont ship with tethers. Ive seen some people simply tie some kind of string off to the hole in the top buckle to the strap loop on the binos. Seems like a pita if you ever want to disconnect them. The short time I had a Kifaru harness, I swapped out the straps with Marsupial padded straps...

    Kifaru customer service

The 'inventory system' seems to be getting in the way of CS doing the most important part of their jobs...being humans making common sense decisions. Sometimes it seems like the ole inventory system is getting in the way of sales as well. If you have the Ark in 22" Medium belt in stock and a...

    Maven Binos

Id make what you have work, save up a bit more and wait for some B series Mavens to pop up in the classifieds. Either the B1.2 or B6. C series will compete with glass around its price point. B series will go toe to toe with glass much more expensive. Ive linked this before, but this is a...
