    6.5 prc reloading

Loaded up H1000 from 55-59gr and N565 from 55-60gr at 1gr intervals yesterday but ran out of time. Headed out tomorrow to do pressure tests and get some basic chrono data. I was using Hornady brass with 57.8gr of H1000 and getting right at 2850-2860 with good accuracy, so that is kind of the...

Who wants to do a monthly positional shooting challenge?

I’m in. Here’s a few drills I either run currently or have ran in the past. Things like shot timers might need to be excluded, I think participation will be higher if the gear requirement is at the absolute minimum, like rifle, ammo, rangefinder, cell phone kind of simple. (1) Stress shoot, 3...

2024 Cold Bore Challenge Q&A Thread

You’re good man, just get out there and press the trigger. It’s especially funny to me because I had two similar reactions from two guys at work when I asked them in May. When they found out it was going to be on video, one gave me the “yeah, oooooh, so, uh, I only have so many hand loads...

2024 Cold Bore Challenge Q&A Thread

“Um, yeah, so what had happen was, I am quadruple booked already with things, stuff, what-not, and so forth. So as you can see, that’s a lot of goings on to step away from for an hour and perform on demand. Childish really, I don’t put my socks on for less than 800 yards, that’s a good exercise...

    Australia move, Katherine NT

Yeah. Australia is a curious place like that. Sharks on three sides of the continent, jellyfish on the other, throw in saltwater crocs in most northern coastal inlets, plus some large river systems and swamps, especially during the wet season, then add in some of the deadliest snakes, spiders...

    Australia move, Katherine NT

I passed through the area a few years before covid on the way up to Darwin. Pretty country up there, very remote, but it'll make for a great experience if you let it. Pick up a four wheel drive if you have a family or get a dual sport bike if you enjoy motorcycles and get out on the back roads...

Has Anyone Made a Good Homemade Protein Bar?

You guys are way healthier than I am…I cut 1/4 of flour from standard cookie recipes and add 2-3 servings of protein powder and dry peanut butter mix, lower the cooking temperature by about 50 degrees and slow bake them. Comes out to around 15 grams/cookie and doesn’t taste like cardboard so I...

    Exercise Frequency vs Duration

Nailed it. Active rest is a fitness multiplier, the only contradictory thing I would add is to train aerobic capacity with less weight/higher intensity - Energy System Development (ESD) is worth a few minutes of google reading, killer way to get more in less time.
