I graduated with a Bachelor's in Sustainable Construction Management back in May 2018. I have been paying it off pretty aggressively but still have about 6 years left if I maintain this rate.
To me the guiding offer was just the push I needed to seriously start thinking about a move in my life. If it works out that I can do it, all the better. I had two of my best friends move last year, one to Sheridan, WY and the other to Salt Lake City, UT. I pushed them both to take the jump and...
Hello all! I need you guys to help me decide my future. As a little background, 23 years old currently living in Western New York. I have a full time job as a construction project manager which is very comfortable for me. I travel out west several times annually to hunt and I know that NY is not...
Foxcast is a great idea and can be very nice for times when movement needs to be kept to a minimum or when your remote may be out of range/reception of the call. I find that, especially this time of year, I need to be adaptive with my calls depending on responses and reactions. I never use my...
Thank you for all your guys' input. I use OnX religiously and it is a great rule. But like you said there are discrepancies between what is out in the field and what the maps say. I always lean on the side of caution and don't push my luck if something looks private but is shown public. So with...
With the new year comes planning for this coming 2019 hunting trips. Last year I went out to South Dakota for the first time and we went 1/3 on killing a mule deer, which was a pretty nice one for the area. We hunted primarily walk-in access areas that allowed for some quality hunts and stalks...
I have an XOP Enforcer and XOP Air Raid w/ Sticks. They are awesome quality and I love to hunt out of either. Not a huge savings from Lone Wolf, but the quality seems to be very comparable.
Huntoftheday.com has been running daily deals on some Mystery Ranch packs recently. They’ve got a bunch of camo and sizes available. Wish I would of held out a little longer on getting my Metcalf.
Ended up going with a new Metcalf on sale through Argali Outdoors. Got the last one in my size and the brown that I wanted. Thank you to everyone with your recommendations!
I didn’t find much use for the Bivy. That is why I am looking to pick up something that can carry weight extremely well, enough cargo for several days and also work as a day pack. I’m looking for durability reviews, ease of adjustment and drawbacks to the simple design.
I’m looking to sell my Sitka Bivy 30 and pick up a Metcalf. Can you guys that have one give me your honest review? Or give me a suggestion on a similar sized pack? Thank you!
South Dakota, there is piles of public land to hunt, sub-$300 tag, and some very very nice deer out there. Plus a tag is good for a mule deer or whitetail.
The XOP sticks are hands down the best I have used. The offset from the tree makes it more comfortable when stepping because you're not on your toes. And once the sticks are locked in, they are extremely solid.
Hey there,
I'm Collin from Western New York. This is the first time in a few years I am not taking a trip out West for a hunt (but might be convinced otherwise), so instead I will be following along on here. I have been visiting the site for a long time, mainly for gear and clothing reviews...
