I have run 4 of the bags mentioned.
SG 15. Great bag construction. I am 6'5" and the bag is an inch short for me. I also dislike the draft collar magnet contraption. Otherwise it kept me warm down to 20 with baselayers in CO archery last year. Good room in chest area (I wear 48" shirts)...
Man this is rokslide. Your happy place has to be with the best gear. Swarovski glass, crispi boots, 1k backpack and 6 technical layers of the right mix of wool and poly. I kid.
Pretty tough to beat chasing elk somewhere on a mountain side. Breakfast and coffee on a hillside with the sun...
I am running the Falkens on my 6.7l diesel. They have close to 40k. This year they were like skates in snow. Looks like 10k left of tread but I won't run them on snow anymore.
Had a 6.4l and traded for the 6.7l diesel. The 6.4l didn't like mountain passes with a trailer. Trailer was around 8k. It would drop eventually into first gear and Rev limit at 4k and 10 mph. Not ideal. At sea level it was a different truck. I think 4.10 rear end would have helped at...
Prayers for you brother! Please know one thing. You loved your daughter. Give yourself grace. We are never perfect as parents. We do the best we can just like our parents before us. I will keep Olivia and your family in our evening prayers tonight.
I have an r1 I have had for over 10 years. Still wear it almost daily during the winter. I throw in pack for alpine camping in the summer. Love sleeping in it. The SG Helio is almost identical. Maybe a bit lighter? So far has been great too.
3 man and stove in a Cimarron would be no go unless the 3rd was a kid. I run a SO 6 man tipi with stove for rifle. My buddy and I are both 6'5". Plenty of room. 3rd would be doable but not as comfortable
I always get a kick out of reading this type of thread. Thanks for the entertainment!! Safe to say with the strong modern day interwebz you can pick a brand and someone, somewhere will have an issue with it. You can be damn sure they will scream from the rooftops. For me, I will continue...
2k here front range CO. Parts were close to 1k and 3 guys 1k in labor. Replaced 16yo unit that was not easy to pull out. Took them about 3 hours total. I could have probably done it but might take me all day. Sometimes time and money is a break even.
Windows are an interesting topic. I went Milgard Ultra (fiberglass) after extensive research. Overall, I have been happy. I bought them as new construction with the nail flange. Ran zip tape for the flashing. Install is almost as important as the window itself. One other quick tip. High...
I ran my Conquests for a long time. Nothing can touch it for 650 in my opinion. Recently upgraded to the SF. Definitely a wow factor for me and my eyes. Swaros are top dog for sure. They just never wowed me, especially at a 3k price point. I would love to see a "bino blind taste test"...
