    Sleeping bag

WM Kodiak or Badger. Also know that any bags with more room can take more time to heat up when you get in them for the night.

Mauled by a brown bear and shoots himself

It sounds like he did a hell of a job. My only concern would be crossfire on the initial volley. I assume he was slinging hardcast which can get a little sporty if they don't hit bone. Lots of guys squeeze the grip like hell in high stress and eject the mag on the Glocks. Maybe why he...

    SG Chilkoot vs Peax Solace

I have the chilkoot and dislike the magnet collar contraption. It is also an inch too short for me. I am 6'5" though. It is a backup loaner bag now. I run the WM Badger and Kodiak depending on the season. Honestly will probably never use another bag other than WM. One side note. Be...

So the person survived a Grizzly bear attack by killing the bear, but the rest of us should do it differently. Makes sense, right?

Dead grizzly is successful on all fronts innthis situation. So called experts are scientists types that like sitting in Starbucks talking about what ifs. Bear spray works until it doesn't. Wind, proximity of bear, other people, spray can failure and spray manipulation. Hot lead gives you a...

In Search of Grid Fleece Hoody with DWR

Patty makes a tech face r1 I think. Or did make. I tried it and didn't like it. Anything with dwr will decrease breathability which kind of defeats the purpose in my opinion. If you are looking to shed light precip go for a windshirt. If weight is not a concern go softshell of some sort.

    Ebikes

Doubt if it will be used for hunting much as I am usually in BLM and Wilderness. Most likely around the house. Loan to friends and family as I ride an old school hard tail. Will look into conversions too. Thanks guys

    Ebikes

Any info on these things? Mainly use around my neighborhood (hilly). Gravel mountain roads. Looks like most are from China. Maybe a 750 watt? Aventon looks decent. Some cost more than pickups I have bought in the past. Any good values out there? Thanks in advance.

    Firearm carry options in Archery

I am a fan of belt holsters unless I am wading in water. Something you can move from pack to belt if needed. Chest holsters are not as quick for me. Also if you are knocked to the ground, harder to draw. Whatever you choose, train with it.

    Mach 34 e2 vs ec2

Quick question on the Mach 34. I am currently shooting a freak at 32.5" draw. Looks like the Mach 34 ec2 goes to 32". Anyone shooting it at that draw length? Didn't know if the 32" would work or look for a e2 cam. Thanks in advance.

SG Krux vs Xcurve vs MR Metcalf

My experience is the Krux has more flex when over 60iah pounds. Xcirve is what I have used the past several seasons. It carries big loads well and runs well for day pack use. I have never had a reason to switch. It just plain works

a question for the Builders on here.

Overall 8ft for attic area. I did 14ft main floor height. Overall building is 27' I believe.

Packing List & Weight Critique Needed

My take. Do a few trips preseason to determine what you can run with or without. I usually write down what worked and did not work right after each season. UL items don't always survive an elk hunt. While cutting weight is nice, there is a convenient/comfort curve that comes into play...

a question for the Builders on here.

Something else to consider is attic trusses. I have a 28x30 shop with a 14x30 room above. Total additional cost was only 2k more 5 years ago. I did a pole barn build. I was the GC and saved a boat load of cash. Finished the inside as I had time and cash. Had the gables and under roof spray...

    Seek Outside customer service

Just wanted to give a quick shout out to Ryan and Conner at Seek. Ordered a Cimarron nest earlier this month. Shipping time was delayed during the process. The nice thing is, you can call and talk to a real person. They kept me in the loop with a couple personal phone calls. They went above...
