    Down booties

    I use the feathered friends with a shell cover. Good for late night bathroom runs. Can take the shell off before going in the bag. Kick em off once feet are warm. Will slip them on for a glass session in cold temps. Throw a handwarmer in to turbocharge the warmth. I love mine

    Outfitters banning bergers?!

    I have to say this thread is entertaining. "Good shots " then the animal ran away. I know of very few animals shot through the heart or lungs with a high power that "got away". Outfitters should ban poor marksman before banning a bullet. What world do we live in now?

    I say tape and go. Experiment with lacing your boots. Easy on the toes, tight across the ankle. Insoles can help too. Getting your feet in shape help too. I two layer the Leuko and never have any issues.

    I think the best approach is 2 headlamps. I have a cheap Amazon Peak style that has lasted over a year with hard use. Previously I have had Black Diamond, Zebra and Nitecores quit on me. Usually when you really need it.

    I work out of DIA. Had a co-worker who had his truck stolen last week. The truck was found after a shootout. Full of bullet holes and now is in evidence. I have worked out of there for 25 years. Things are getting pretty western out there. Liberal immigration has consequences.

    I have an AGM rattler v2. Sweet setup. QD could work as a scanner and mount to gun to fire. 200 yards would not be a problem with it.

    Rain gear in my opinion is a non negotiable pack item. If you get wet in October, things could go south quickly. I use rain gear to keep me in the field when hunting. If you prefer staying in the tent or huddling under a tree, you might be ok. Still at 2 pounds it is a no brainer for me...
