I've most have said Camo is Key..yes I have been picked off by a bird because of my camo..now with that said I was using the original Realtree from the late 80's early 90s and the hen was maybe 3 yards. Not sure if it was my outline she picked up on or my heart racing!! Either way, switched over...
Yeah I figured once I bought the 95 I might need to upgrade my tripod too. Was hoping to just get by with maybe the balance rail.
Thanks for the help and suggestions @fatrascal
It's a Zomei z818. It has a ball head. I've never really had an issue with it using my krotos 65. But obviously the 95 is much larger and longer and only being held by the small arca plate. It's really not alot of holding area compared to the size and weight.
Just curious for those who have used them do they really help that much with a 95ATX? Because right now.. man that thing is bouncy!!! Can anyone send me pictures of it installed and how it works? I'm a machinist and I'm thinking I might just be able to make something similar.
Also does anyone...
You want either the axis hybrid or the guide. None of their down jackets are for busting brush. One I think they would be way too hot and the material just isn't ment for it. Their puffy jackets are designed for when you just sitting and glassing.
I'm not sure I would agree on the higher weight retention means less tissue destroyed..hydrostatic shock you get from shooting bullets designed like hammers ,woodleighs and even barnes. Do some pretty serious damage. I've actually considered switching from monos because of the amount of meat I...
like others have said pretty text book high speed AB performance. If you want better penatration and weight retention switch to a partition or a mono like barnes.
Ok first if shooting the TSX It was a full pass through at that range.
If shooting down hill you more then likely shot high. There is a space above the lungs and below the spine that when hit deer will drop get up and keep going. I've seen it! They do have a chance of survival. There are...
So after Friday's hunt. I have to say pretty impressed. I haven't had the chance to put them on a tripod yet as I need to make a stud for them(I'm a machinist and can't see paying $50 for a stud). But just off hand they are really nice! Color contrast is fantastic! I was able to spot a herd of...
Man this thread is killing me. I've really been wanting to start hunting with a pistol. Just not sure what to get other then I know I want a 44mag. I think that's the easy decision..now just what to fire it out of!
I just picked up the 12nl's and they should be here today!! Taking them on a desert cow hunt tomorrow. I've never had top teir binos before. But I do have a Z8i on my rifle. So I somewhat know what to expect! I have an older pair of 12x bruntons that I do love. I debates on switching to 10's...
