Lots of great advise and success story. Thanks for that. I moved up here last year and learning to hunt a new state can some times be daunting let alone Alaska. I'm goingnto try and do several scouting trips in June as it looks like I will be gone most of July. Now I just have to figure out...
How many sheep hunt alone? Got up here to Alaska and first thing the guys in my shop asked was do I hunt? I of course said yes and they gave the whole "O you'll fit in good" " we're all hunters in the shop" I start asking about sheep..and instantly got the "o that's too much work".

This will be my first year also. Luckily I will be a resident so don't have to go through a guide. Unfortunately I will be traveling for work the month before season starts. So it should be fun!
There was no saving the bumper and winch. The roof rails brackets broke, the tire carrier in the back broke and well your not pulling the lift out of it at the yard.

Thanks
I've been extremely happy with Korkers snowmegadon and polar vortex. Snowmegadon is my daily wear( live in alaska) and the poor vortex is my ice fishing boot. They're big but not overly clunky. Super easy to loosing up or tighten as needed. They have just been an all around great boot.
After this hunt opened a few years ago and they trapped and transplanted a bunch the numbers have really been down! If there's not alot of snow they could still be up high. But there's a really good chance they could be over in 39 now too. My advise find green fields and hope they are using them.
That's awesome man! Sounds like you have it figured out.
Tailwheel! I knew it it didn't sound right when I was calling it a rearwheel!! I don't know why I got stuck on calling it that to begin with.
But that's some great insight! I'll have to look into it more to see if the club here has a...
