    6.5 prc N165 load data

I found some VV N165, and decided to pick it up. I'm running low on H1000, and have been looking for some for a LONG time. I have 140 ELDM I would like to load with it for punching paper. Anyone have any load data they would share for the 6.5prc with n165? The vihtavuori posted loads are a...

WA state spring bear petition !!!!!!!!!

I did this afterwards, and realized how superficially I scanned the comments before adding my own. 🤦‍♂️ Decided to leave my comment since I also commented on predators. I also signed the Colorado petition. We hunters must support eachother against the divide and conquer tactics of the Antis.

WA state spring bear petition !!!!!!!!!

May want to start a new thread on the Colorado one. ( Maybe you have, I didn't look). I'm afraid it won't get as much attention in the Washington thread. The Antis end game is to overprotect predators until there's no huntable populations of ungulates. It's not conservation, it's genocide...

    selway bitteroot wilderness spring bear

This year may be an issue. North slopes are always an issue, but often you can get pretty high on open southern exposures.

I always like the idea of hunting in pairs or small groups. You can sit a hundred yards apart and be glassing totally different country.

    selway bitteroot wilderness spring bear

You can see bears all day. I've actually had the best luck in the afternoons and evenings. There's bears everywhere, so I'm not too sure it matters where. However, there's a ton of them in the burns up north too. I'd go into an area you'd like to scout for a future elk or deer hunt.

Great advice here. Have all sorts of backup access plans as the snow will be bad this year.

Kudos to you guys for going after predators! Spring bear backpack hunts are an awesome hunt, and so important for elk calf survival. Also a terrific way to scout, and prep for the fall. Take a predator call and wolf tags too. Every hunter owes it to the future of Western Hunting to become a...

WA state spring bear petition !!!!!!!!!

Dude, you win prizes for most ignorant comments on a subject you obviously know absolutely nothing about. Washington is in a serious predator pit with politicized overprotection of predators. No hounds. No bait. Out of control, but protected wolf populations. Now this. There's so so so...

Wolves back on the endangered species list in the west??

This would be the end of Western hunting. As someone who has spent the last 30+ years in a heavy wolf infested area, I can tell you that the only thing keeping our heads above water is the wolf trappers. ESA protections for wolves would be the end, and it would happen faster than most think it...

Unfollowing Hunting Social Media Will Make Hunting Better: Matt Rinella Essay

Zero percent of my hunting is on private. I make zero money. Killed my first elk and deer in Idaho in 1997. Deer was Solo Elk was with my Dad. Been successful in Idaho ever since. Your approach would certainly be better for me personally, and if I was selfish I'd agree. However, it's not...

This is a huge deal. I used to go into the court house and research for little pockets of unhunted timber company or BLM land. Now everyone's hunting those spots thanks to ON-X etc... The good old days aren't coming back, and it's no use crying over it. If you really want to help save the...

Hunting social media influencer percentages are far far far FAR less than literally any other outdoor pursuit. I post basically nothing of my hunts, but will post pictures from backpacking, kayaking, etc... Just like everything, there's a whole range of influencers. Some are great...

Unfollowing Hunting Social Media Will Make Hunting Better: Matt Rinella Essay

You're way over the top angry man. There's absolutely no way you can tell when it's a hunter most of the time. Almost everyone I know is also a recreational backpacker, and none of us drive vehicles that scream hunter. Stereotyping is getting way out of hand.

Success at building wealth. Not sure how that's a projection of myself? I certainly would never publicly attack my brother like this, so I guess maybe it does say something about me that I'm a little skeptical about pure motives.

Unfollowing Hunting Social Media Will Make Hunting Better: Matt Rinella Essay

Seems to me that Matt has a bit of the Green eyed monster going on over Steve's Success. Also, hunting has actually been far less affected than other outdoor ventures. The trailheads are insanely crowded right now, and camping spots impossible to find. There's such a huge "Get Outside"...

This deserves a bump for the great deals. I got a second Slik tripod with a VA-5 for a fantastic deal when you factor in the points I earned. Been wanting a 734 to pair with my 624. Feel like I've got all scenarios covered tripod wise.
