Very encouraging results so far. What are the odds we get a 34-35" ATA bow at ATA in January? Also, with it being so forgiving, it would be nice if it was 6.5" or so brace for a little bit more speed and lighter riser.
Thanks Rob. Yes, I figured they both moved at the same time and are both adjustable. What I was trying to say was, on my three pin Ascent, I am sighted in at 30, 40 & 50. At zero, my indicator is at 50 for that bottom pin. As you said, let's move that to 70 for my bottom pin.
Now, my top...
Thanks Rob. I am still trying to understand the dual indicator. Would it only be accurate at one specific yardage? As in, you dial your bottom pin out to 60 yards, then check where your middle or top pin is at and move the second indicator to that yardage so that you know what yardage it is...
I think both combined would be nice. You can pull into the cable stop but at the very back have a limb stop that gives you a more consistent stopping point shot to shot.
WeHunt, I usually build/buy a dozen a season, maybe two if I am changing the arrow I am shooting from the previous season.
The advice in the thread seems spot on. IMHO, if you like to shoot and your season just ended...and you have the money, I would replace your Bear with one of the top of...
Broadheads seem like an odd item to save money on. They are not that expensive versus the rest of your gear and are a major part of killing an animal. You are putting all this time and money into hunting, don't go cheap on arrows and broadheads.
There are awesome budget friendly bows, eat...
The Hamskea seems to be the hotness right now and all the cool kids are shooting it.
I ran a Ripcord code red for 8 years and never had a problem with it. This year I switched to the Ripcord Max. The max is super easy to replace the cord if you ever need too versus the code red.
I like how...
I just did up a set of arrows with the AAE hybrid vanes. Within the bags of vanes was a big yellow warning label saying do to use the pen or anything else on the vanes as it would strip the primer.
I followed this direction and used the wipe on my arrows, no wrap, and the AAE Max bond.
They...
This seems like the worst way to go about this. You will get epoxy all over the collar. Listen to the words that are coming out of my keyboard...put hit in part way...then put on collar and push HIT the rest of the way in.
Or as mentioned, if it is a really thin collar, don't worry about it.
There has to be a lower limit or general size that you are talking about here. Otherwise, I could just say that a 6" cut must tend to stretch and a 2" cut would close up.
There is obviously a balancing point on penetration and wound size. I would much rather have a pass through and bleeders...
Not a ton of information in your post related to what bow you are currently shooting. Personally, I would do the math on it and see where you are going to be. For me personally, I try to shoot as heavy an arrow as I can and still chrono in the 260-270 fps range.
Currently at 271 fps with 529g...
