just got them set up and put a couple arrows through them. Still needs a full tune, but they feel great. I was a little worried about it feeling stacky, but they more or less feel like any standard recurve limb. Went down to 7” brace and no issues with the limbs noodling.
I have a pair of dryad lbx on order. Planning on using the on a wf19 which is an ilf longbow friendly riser (not much deflex). It is taking a while with the sale of dryad to south at stalker stickbows. In the meantime i have a pair of das bamboo core longbow limbs from 3 rivers that should be...
I think generally at that price point you're going to be looking at a mass produced bow with fit and finish maybe being a little better than the sage. There likely isn't enough margin for most small time bowyers to make a living. Low margin means higher volume and you don't see many small...
finally 3 rivers has those back in stock. I just snagged a set as well after seeing your post. I have a wf19 just sitting here limbless asking to be an ilf longbow.
I’m about 10 months in waiting for a set of dryad lbx limbs. I did talk to South before seasons started and was told my order was...
@Beendare glad you are mostly unscathed. Reminds me of my hex 7.5s delaminating when I was at full draw. Lucky I wear glasses as the nock hit them and nocked them right off my face. Happened to catch it all on slomo video. I only had a scratch on my cheek under my eye.
I have a pair of rc woods...
No personal experience with it, but this gets good reviews and is Tradlab approved.

The 17" satori has a lot of deflex. I'm at 8.5" with XL uukha sx+ and the bolts turned in most of the way. anything under 8 3/8" doesn't leave enough of the string groove visible for my taste. With longs, you might be able to go a little shorter.
I've been shooting my xl SX+ on both a 17" satori and a WF21. Draw is very nice on both out to my draw (30.5"). I've got a ok tune with both setups, but honestly it's been a frustrating process. That is probably more me than the bows. I've made some form changes (I was overdrawing quite a...
My only must have is the first lite sawbuck pants. These breathe incredibly well for how much protection they offer. It sucks ending every single hunt with shredded shins.
I like a light weight merino top to keep the stink down in the heat. I tend to stink up poly shirts really bad.
the thing...
I don't have much perspective on living in hill country. I have been there a bunch and it can be beautiful. I'll just add my take to double up on what @WoodBow said.
I grew up in PA, moved to north texas 11 years ago. I now live on the northwest outskirts of DFW. Besides the recent...
possibly, at least with the vibes. I would think the way the tightspot is hanging off the single attachment point led to the vibrations almost being magnified through the quiver. This may be specific to a trad bow as I know a lot of compound guys swear by a tightspot. A two piece quiver...
I did not like the tightspot when I used it (on a border covert hunter). Supercurves tend to give a little bit of post shot vibe and the tightspot seemed to make it worse in addition to some rattle that I couldn't get rid of.
It's a well made quiver but I am sticking with a selway slide on...
💯 this. best of both worlds. Easy one handed use, light, and quiet. In fact, lengthening the linesman’s with a asymmetric hitch is easier than doing so with a ropeman. Shortening it is the exact same.
I don’t personally have any fear of using the ropeman and did for years. If I actually fell...
