    Pistol caliber?

Not exactly huge volumes of data, but here it is. Shot placement and sufficient penetration to reach the vitals are king, everything else is just a bonus. https://www.ammoland.com/2018/02/defense-against-bears-with-pistols-97-success-rate-37-incidents-by-caliber/

    Pistol caliber?

Glock 40 MOS in 10mm has been my hunting sidearm for the past couple years, very happy with it, unless S&W comes out with a 10mm M&P, then all bets are off

    22LR - Long range training

I could absolutely see getting one if I shot PRS or the like and wanted an identically-packaged gun for training or .22 matches. My actual use will just be cheap trigger time, learning wind, enjoying the challenge of lobbing a .22 LR bullet a long ways, and when my kiddos get a little older...

Who else is hunting with a 6.5 Grendel?

Anyone here messed with the 6mm Grendel offshoot? I'm curious to try one in my next AR build.

    22LR - Long range training

Man I wish I could justify one. Hopefully they can get their prices down if their sales volume ticks up a bit.

    22LR - Long range training

Did notice that Shaw and GM are making very reasonably priced barrels, happy to see that. I do like the American Rimfire Target models, too, but I doubt they'll ever have the aftermarket support the RPR will.

    22LR - Long range training

As damn nice as the Vudoos are, what's the consensus on the Ruger precision rimfire for this sort of thing? Are there increased cant scope bases available for it? Got half a mind to combine this, a 12x SWFA and whatever bargain rings I can find in the near future.

    Light Weight Rifle Advice/Input

I wasn't the biggest fan at first (I'd have gone with the Sportsman's Warehouse version if there was one nearby or they would ship), but it's growing on me. Also helps that I like the factory T3x stock more than I was prepared to.

    Light Weight Rifle Advice/Input

Sure they do https://www.cabelas.com/product/TIKKA-T-X-OCTANE-SUPERLITE-BOLT-ACTION-RIFLE/2903943.uts Not quite the deal the SW version of the superlite is, but Cabela's frequently discounts them to around $830, and you can take care of most of the rest with giftcards.

    Input on Berger ammunition

If I get results like these in my Tikka, I don't think I'll ever bother buying bare brass again!

Testing of a Ruger Predator in 6.5 Creed with an SWFA 3-15

Can you share any info on where to get/print these targets? I'm fairly restricted to 100 yard ranges around work, this would make going there a lot more interesting.

Glock 20 modifications for backcountry carry

I was going to write out what I'd do, but it's pretty much this in a nutshell

    Input on Berger ammunition

Just picked up five boxes of the 135gr classic hunter 6.5cm ammo from Brownells with one of their 10% off and free shipping coupons. Haven't had the chance to shoot it yet, but as long as it's even just fair-to-middlin, it's still a bargain since it's loaded up in Lapua small primer brass!

    Night force rail

May very well have been. I'd imagine they focus on their scopes and outsource/rebrand little things like these. EGW is still my favorite for r700 rails (and just about everything 1911 related), they do damn good machine work on everything they produce.

    Tikka rebarrel- magnum bolt face

I'd go 7mm SAUM if I had a spare mag-face Tikka laying around, but that might be awfully close to your .280AI. If you don't have a quarter bore or 6.5mm in the stable, I'd lean that direction then. Or if you handload, why not do something a little different and try one of the Sherman short...

    Tikka vertical grip

Put the vertical grip on mine, love it. With that done, I like the stock stock much more than I was prepared to.

    Picking a Cerakote color

Between not being a big fan of the stainless look and wanting a little more corrosion protection from our wonderful Gulf Coast atmosphere, I'm going to have my T3x SL barreled action cerakoated when I get it threaded. Before I go coat yet another rifle with my usual boring graphite black, what...

    Another "which would you choose"?

Between those two, I'd go M70. But then again, I'd also recommend handling an Xbolt and a Tikka T3x before you decide as well

    Load Bench Storage

Did you do anything to seal or finish the worktop? I left mine alone the first go-round, but I'd like to make this one for the long run.
