If you are used to a 629 in 44 mag, honestly I would look at a 686+ in 357 magnum or a 327r8 in 357 mag. The 686 is an L frame which means it has k frame sized grips, and is round butt. 7 rounds of 357 mag.
The 327 is an N frame so same size as your 629, just with 8 rounds of 357 mag.
