I was on the slope last year last week of August with BRA, take your puffy pants. You have generous weight limits and the wind can get cold. We had the mercury drop into the low 20's high teens one night and the wind howled at 50 mph. You'll wish you took them if you don't.
You can do the north slope if you'd like. Lots of grayling fishing up there, can be feast or famine on caribou. Alot of migration depends on weather.

It all depends on how much time you have, your budget, type of hunt you want? You looking for guided, semi guided, DIY? Start pairing it down a little more and therr is a ton of help here.

End of August, and you get some warm days, you will have mosquitos by the hordes. Take a bear fence, it will give you peace of mind while you hunt and while you sleep. They weren't an issue, but they were kind enough to swing by and check on us every few days ;) . BRA will likely fly you onto...
Hello, my stepdaughter and I have just booked a western nebraska antelope hunt. This is going to be our first antelope hunt, and will be an archery hunt. We are going the last week of August, and will be hunting over water holes and potentially some stalking with decoys. Being our first trip...
We lived in ankle fit, hip waders last year up on the slope. 1 of our guys wore Zamberlans and gaiters and was ok, except downstream crossings, where he did catch a soaker or two.

Our party should have gone 6 for 8, 3 of us recorded some misses with rifles and 2 of our party were die hard bowhunters and of which one buddy wanted a bigger bull then what he had opportunity to kill.
Fantastic trip, we had so much fun.
What you can expect with Judy- great service. Her...

Here is a really good bag we took to the North Slope with us last fall. It was great, really warm. We had an evening where the temps dropped from 70 degrees to 19 degrees in 5 hours. Plus a sustained 40 mph blow with gusts upward of 55mph range. We were just fine and warm. Solid bags, not light...
I'll be damned, they don't, thought they did. Doesn't 40 mile air run back and forth from Fairbanks? If they do, that could be an option and fly right into Fairbanks and go from there??

Check the regs of the gmu you are hunting, some will allow boneless in the field, others will require to be on the bone until it comes out of the field. 3 guys 1 mature bull, if you aren't hiking with too much gear, could get it in one trip. It'll be heavy but doable.
My stepdaughter and I...
This was pretty much the entire groups sentiment after 10 days in it. If you can find gravel bars to traverse, they are golden.

Uh, I don't think so. I'd be afraid of getting twisted up, a knee or an ankle. Figure 1 hr of walking per mile in that stuff, give of take a little all depending.

Take a GPS and a compass with a map ofbthe area. You may need to get out further from camp to find animals. Basic backcountry 101, you never go without having both in your kit.

My stepdaughter and I picked up the overstock military bags last year from Wiggys. Both bags rated to 0*, and we took them to the North Slope this past august/early Sept. Plenty warm enough for me, she got cold one night the mercury dropped to 19* and had sustained 40 mph wind with up to 50-55...
The weather up that way can change in a hurry, and after having done the trip into 26A this past August. I think I'd want the security of having my own gear and KNOWING it will perform like it should. We had a weather change from 72 degrees, down to 22 degrees and a sustained 40mph wind with...
