fixed CoC blade for sure.
I use IW last 4 years but for many years a Slick Trick.
One thing for certain, KEEP THEM SHARP. My IW's were good outta box but after touching them up, even better.
I use a Canon XA70. Love this camcorder, fullsize 1" sensor for great low light capability. Sets it apart from other camcorders I've used for hunt filming.
this is the remote I like...
I would prefer a thumb button release for hunting for many reasons stated above. But due to pitching too many baseballs, I have a 15+% right arm-elbow disability that prevents me from using a thumb release. Cannot get the back of my hand to my cheek, with hand-arm turned as such. And doing so...
love my Swaro 10x32 EL. Great optic lens used these for years but is not the new RF version.
Low light, just before dawns' early light and last evening light, the vision, clarity is exceptionally good.
Don't see the need for range finding binocs when archery hunting, binocs yes, RF Binocs 🤷♂️...
all I know is this...
I worked, saved, sacrificed all my life to achieve an OK retirement. Over those years, listened to other retired hunter's great experiences hunting other states. Dreaming of and Hoping one day that I would have the TIME to do so.
I'm no retired professional career or rich...
I do a lot of filming, photo of big game with my "truck tripod", a Sirui 7C.
Of course, using my Swaro spotter for locating game too.
Recent change, from Sirui VA5 to a Geared tripod head, a SunwayFoto GH-PRO II Plus.
What a difference!
Much improved holding power, ease of adjustment as spotter...
"Elk licenses listed below include basic hunt license, Habitat Stamp, elk tag, elk app for draw."
mentioned ^^^^^ in my original post at 1pm yesterday, post #41
That's what Happened to Washington State hunting. Governor appointees on the wildlife commission and wolf counsel. CA politicians proliferate the Washington Dept of Fish & Game, and various anti-hunt groups, organizations are growing leaps & bounds with their presence and law proposals, voter...
for total dollars, more like residents would need to pay 5x the current price for an elk tag at 90/10 and no NR OTC... And then still a considerable shortfall from historical and budgetary numbers for elk license sales.
One thing politicians know, is how to think like a business, busn-person...
NR will lose opportunity to draw tags, be a bit harder with new ratio limitations.
Remember the percent ratios 65/35 and 75/25 are designated as UP TO.
In other words, not guaranteed tags to NR in that 35% or new 25% ratios. Limits place that non-residents cannot draw more tags than the...
19 consecutive years of hunting Arizona OTC archery as a NR.
The past 6 years, averaging 25 days of off season scouting and 20+ days of hunting late December & January muley rut.
it's rare to observe more than one 200-point+ buck each season the past 8 years.
Drought, lack of rains or...
For the past 30 years of experience processing game in the field, this is what my "kill Kit" consists of the last few years.
Geared toward organization, safety and clean, efficient processing of my deer or elk in the field.
Hunting solo, always with me on hunts, whether stored in the truck, at...
Mostly I fear this*, but not losing a dropped pack, I GPS the location on my InReach.
*AZ desert archery mule deer started a stalk. Had removed by Tailgunner pack from big pack. It carries my stalking essentials. Closed the distance but the muley buck and group of does get up from their beds...
thank you.
At least in August, a new season starts for the 2024 OTC archery tag.
so many good mule deer units were closed the last 2 years after those early season August hunts, as set harvest quota numbers were met.
For those that don't know, AZ OTC archery season tag consists of August early...
thank you, satisfying to hear these vids are helpful to the new or younger hunters.
My main purpose of this YouTube channel is to leave something my grandsons, 4 toddlers, could watch one day for hunting tips, if they choose to pursue this outdoor activity. By the time they are old enough to...
Depends on your western terrain hunted.
In the northern pines of AZ, shot opportunities are often <50 yards.
I hunt mostly AZ desert areas and other open terrain.
In this terrain, if you can't shoot a BH accurately at 70-yards, your opportunities will be severely limited.
My max shot is out...
Like my Wiseguy buckle so much, bought a 2nd one.
Improved my grouping, release over a previous Hurricane Jaw release.
I Like the light release tension. Once draw anchored, wrapping my index finger around the trigger, back tension release. If I even try to "punch it", release goes off.
Keep...
