What % of your daughters hunt???

My daughter isn’t quite there yet, but at 6 loves the kids bow and shooting the .22 (with help). We’ll see what happens as she grows, but I sure am hoping she’ll become my hunting partner.

Cartridge for new hunter

Definitely deer, and antelope, possibly black bear. It would be nice to have something for elk also, but isn’t a requirement. .243 has been at the top of the list so far.

Merino wool brand?

I’ve been seriously looking at the darn tough socks. My old danner socks are threads now. Definitely time to get some new ones.

DIY Tanning

Hard tan is fine for me. The kids want to put them up in their rooms. What was your process with the borax? I’m assuming you salt and salt bath before?

Cartridge for new hunter

Looking for some input here, which I know has been debated over and over. We’re looking to buy a rifle for a new smaller frame shooter (5’4”). I’d like to buy a tried and true cartridges that is not likely to “go out of style”. Not interested in 6.5 Creedmoor or 6.5 PRC. Been looking at .308...

Doing some research on the k2 vs k3 frame and bags. Did you ever switch from the k2 to K3? Id so how has the new pack been?

Binoculars under $100

I’m looking for some new binoculars for spring and next year. Currently using some cheap Amazon ones. Any suggestions for something in the $100 range or less range? I’d like to get a 10x40 or 10x50, but am open to suggestions.
