The back wall is solid with two cable stops. The valley is a little narrow so you need to keep back tension or it will get away from you (I shoot 30.5 draw and my wife's bow is 25.5" so it might not feel this way to a person shooting it with their draw length). It has two cable stops on it and...
My wife just picked up a Hoyt Eclipse and she loves the bow. I have shot it and it is dead in hand and super quiet. Go check one out. My wife shot it and bought it on the spot.
It saves you just as much money as hunting does on meat for the freezer...lol.
I do it for accuracy and tinkering. There is cost savings per round but not when you factor in your time and opportunity costs. It is a hobby that costs money just like everything else.
Today was not the day for shooting lol. The wind was horrible up there. Me and the wife are usually up there every weekend if we aren't hunting. Hit me up via PM if you are planning on heading up there to shoot 3D. I can give you some tips, etc. It is fun. Hopefully the tournaments will...
I use mine as a day pack as I want the extra room for packouts. I do not compress it fully as I still keep layers of clothes and snacks hydration in the pack and like to get into the pack easily. This is a pick of my pack on me before the packout.
It seems every hobby is out of stock for everything now. Hopefully, you can find one. You can also check out company 7 in MD if you are unable to find one in stock. They are one of few astronomy shops still in existance.
Check out Orion as well. A small 6-8" reflector or dob would be a great starter scope that would provide good views without breaking the bank.
Orion SkyQuest XT8 Classic Dobsonian Telescope Kit
Orion StarBlast 6 Astro Reflector Telescope Kit
The above are mirror based which gets you lots of...
You should be able to still get the B&C reticle for that scope. My wife has that same scope on her .243 and it works well and is lightweight. You can dial in your B&C reticle to match the caliber by using the instructions. The instructions come with a table for the different calibers and...
This year was my second attempt at Unit 22N. Last year was a late season bull archery tag in Nov- I only had 4 days, no pre-scouting, cameras, etc. but I was able to get within 20 yards of a herd of elk before they were scared off by cattle coming into the area. I saw elk everyday but only 1...
If you are target shooting only and want to save move get a wireless camera system as the thermals can make even the best spotter unusable. Otherwise, Kowa TSN883/4 with the TE11 eyepiece, Zeiss, Leica or Swaro.
Not sure about glass degradation as I have never experienced loss of optical performance in any of my optics. If you damage the lens through improper cleaning I can see how this would affect the optical performance but optical coatings do not have any shelf life. I have a Kowa 883 spotter...
Most likely due to folks not being able to handle them in person as they do not have a robust dealer network. I ordered mine sight unseen due to the reviews on the forums and was so pleased I ordered another for another gun. I have the 8x32-56mm as well on both of my bench guns. They replaced...
First off, good luck on your shoulder surgery this week and hope you have a speedy recovery.
I am still in recovery mode for my shoulder and it is not 100% at all (I'd rate it at ~70%). My injury occurred in Aug of 2019. I am not really sure how it happened but it was at the gym (I am...
General diet is 1-1.5 grams of protein per lb of bodyweight (whey protein supplementation is how I am able to get to this amount as I am 215 lbs.) Lots of raw vegetables, egg whites, elk meat, lean turkey burger/chicken. I still eat carbs and the ratio is 40% carbs and 40% protein and 20% fat...
Good to hear they worked with you. I have heard similar stories with Swarovski. Higher end optics companies should take a page out of the Swaro playbook if they ever think they can make a dent in market share.
I have a gen 4 Glock 20 all stock with a wolf 22lb recoil spring (gen 3 style). It has handled everything from Buffalo Bore 230gr to the underwood 220gr hardcasts, to the 180gr hot hollowpoint to the S&B 180gr mild loads. No failures to feed or malfunctions at all. I also swapped in the stock...
You should be a lot closer as stated by the dirtytough. Make sure you account for your barrel center vs scope center height as well as actual measured velocity at the muzzle and not what is on the ammo box or reloading book. As long as your data is spot on the math works very close to real...
Anti venom isn't cheap. A couple who stays at Usery in an RV had their little dog bitten by one under their camper and had to spend $5000 on antivenom but the dog made it and is now fine. Any preventative steps you can take in advance would be wise. I would hate to see your pup get tagged and...
