I have both calibers in different rifles and agree with several of the comments above. I enjoy shooting the 7mm-08, it's fun and accurate. Reloading for it has been easy, and it uses a lot less powder than the 7RM. Seems very forgiving in choosing a good load as well.
My 7RM has killed...
Take a look at the Diamond Infinite Edge Pro and Edge SB-1 bows. I bought my son an SB-1 a couple years ago and it's been great. Very adjustable and shoots nice.
Ok, we're using the same method. It sure is a lot of fun! It's incredible being able to shoot a muzzleloader so accurately. I'm getting 1.25in groups at 300 yds with a little wind present using the XLD bullets. I can also say they are effective on elk at distance (my GF and I both killed elk...
I'm not sure what I'm looking at. Was the expected POI the center dot, and this is the drop when using .400? I'm sending them at 2520 fps using BH209 and shot out to 600 yds. I found that I had to use .358 in JBM to get the ballistics to match what I saw on the range.
I'm using my rifle for...
I only see boxes of 20 on Midway for $38.99? Is there a better way to buy these, or is this a typo?
Edit: I just realized you were probably talking about bullets and not ammo...sorry about that!
Can't help with the boots. I've use Gear-Aid Freesole adhesive with high success! Reglued the soles on my boots this year and it held up great! My water sandals are going on 4 years now with the stuff. Shoe Goo failed almost immediately...the Gear-Aid is awesome!
Not to sound like a jerk, but you seem to be over thinking it. You have a selection of bullets in limited quantity. The bullet that you get adequate accuracy is probably the best choice of those you listed, especially if staying within 300 yds. Can you hit a paper plate at 300 yds? If so...
I went thru this exercise earlier this year. Decided to try the Magpul bipod. Worked out pretty well and does what I need in a hunting bipod. Wish it was a little lighter, but do like having tilt and pan with it.
I bought my son Swaro SLC's for his 13th birthday. Expensive, yes, but he'll have and use them for a long time. He's the type to take care of his stuff, so I'm not worried about that.
The Leupold BX-4's in 10x42 are pretty nice too. I have a set that are like new I need to advertise for...
Thank you. I hadn't heard about that and will have to look into it more as that could explain my situation. I'm 90% sure we both had it. The covid brain fog is an interesting side affect as well.
Any idea why this is? My son and I both think we had it back late February. I donated blood in August and antibody test came back negative. Would like to know more about this. Thanks.
Thanks for the tip, I appreciate the help. Unfortunately I got the same message using both the phone app (I had good cell service) and my Garmin Rino with the OnX chip. This has happened at several private land chunks in this area, yet others definitely show ownership data (Name is about all)...
I use Avery #5526 waterproof labels to print my drop and windage (10mph @ 90 deg) holds and stick it to the stock. Packing tape works too, but these labels hold up great. Make a simple chart in Excel and print.
I also take a picture with my phone, and print extras to keep in camp just in case...
