    Which 1 ton pickup

For what it's worth, my stock GM batteries lasted 12 years, which I thought was pretty awesome. I figured it was the exception, but seems others have had even better service out of other brands. This is interesting and helpful feedback comparing the Cummins to the Hemi. I'm surprised by your...

    Which 1 ton pickup

I've been debating the gas vs diesel thing lately. I have an '06 Duramax Van with fairly low miles (99k) and tow fairly light (wakeboat, utility trailers, etc). GF has a '12 Ram Cummins that we use to tow heavy (Toyhauler, gooseneck with skid steer, etc). Talking a good friend who owns both...

Go back to same area as year prior if successful?

Absolutely! You already know more about that area than a new one...where the animals may be, what their patterns are like, water holes, glassing points (if any), roads, etc. I'm a big fan of hunting the same unit/area even if unsuccessful the previous year, assuming I saw animals I was...

    Colorado Senate Bill 21-150

What are the costs involved that need to be covered via hunting and fishing licenses? You say that state taxes don't contribute as much to wildlife...that may be true, but there is more to it than habitat improvement. I don't know the numbers, hoping you have them considering the statement...

Talk Me Out Of Micro Diameter Arrows

I used the X impact a few years ago and have moved back to more traditional arrows. I had an issue with a buzz in flight, could hear it all the way there. Ended up being the nocks. Changed those and it went away. The nocks were weak too, I broke quite a few when shooting at my bag target. I...

No, 2016. Sadly, my faith in the justice system is about nil these days.

    WTS Well...I got scammed

Interesting, this is the first time I've heard of anyone getting a response after an IC3 report being filed. When I went thru my ordeal, I was contacted by several other guys who had been taken as well (for similar money, a few much more), and not one had seen anything out of FBI or IC3.

    WTS Well...I got scammed

Any updates on this? Did you get your money back? Having been scammed myself (not on here) a few years ago, I feel for you and hope for the best! I got taken for the cost of a very nice boat (>$13K) about 4 years ago and never saw a cent back. I went thru all the reporting channels I could...

WTS Weatherby Mark 5 carbon elite

Nice rifle. You might want to list location and caliber. Looks like it might be 300 weatherby, but tough to read in the pic.

WTS .270 and 6.5mm bullets (projectiles)

Have the following projectiles for sale. Maybe these will help someone out. Box of Sierra .270 Cal, 130 gr SBT, #1820. I counted 96EA in there. They may be from 1975 based on the hardware store price label (date mark?). $35 TYD Payment via Zelle preferred, but PP ok too if you pay the...

WTS Bronze sculpture- Savannah Splendor (Antelope)

Really neat hunting/wildlife related bronze sculpture by Ken Rowe. It's titled "Savannah Splendor" and is number 18 of 35 (limited edition). This is pretty big and heavy (sitting on the top of a filing cabinet in one of the pics). The link below is to Heritage Gallery, who deals in Ken Rowe...

    Kifaru vs Mystery ranch

I just got an MR Sawtooth 45 a month ago and simply put, it doesn't fit me well. I'm about your size (6'2" and vary between 200 - 210#). I've tried and tried, and with just 45# in it, it's not working for me. In researching on here, it seems there are several taller guys who have had similar...

Sure enough, I completely missed that. Sorry for the confusion.

    Winchester Staball 6.5 for .243

I did not measure the neck thickness. I bought some once-fired brass from a member here, and did a FL resize, trimmed them to size, then deburred and prepped as I normally do. I have not primed the cases yet (that's the next step). As for scale, I use a RCBS 505. I'll throw a load a little...

    Winchester Staball 6.5 for .243

I'm interested in your findings with this powder as I picked up an 8# jug a couple months ago, hoping to use it for my 6.5CM and possibly 7-08. I have many more magnum primers than regular LRP handy, and was considering using those. I've read that ball powders work better with hotter...

    Mystery Ranch Pack Fitting Questions

Thanks! I will do that. I've watched the fitting videos and tried several times to get it adjusted (with the ~50# in it for testing). To clarify, the middle of the waist belt IS sitting on my Iliac crest, and that seems to push my pants down or pinch me between the waist belt and my pants...

    Mystery Ranch Pack Fitting Questions

Thanks for the tips. The issue I have is that while I'm not fat, I'm also not 4% body fat. The belt/buckle digs into my gut when I cinch it tight. If I don't cinch it tight, the belt slips down and keeps pushing my pants down and/or pinching me between my pant belt and the waist belt. I...

    Best Credit Card Rewards

I use the BofA Cash rewards as well. In addition to the rewards listed above, there is a bonus depending on your customer status (Silver, Gold, Platinum). For example, I can get 5.25% cash back (3% * 1.75) for online purchases. Unfortunately it's limited to $2500/quarter, then it reverts to...

Mounting questions on Tikka w/ Leupold

I've used Talley (with VX3i) and Leupold Backcountry (with VX5HD). Both did great maintaining zero during multiple hunts. I prefer the Leupold as they look better finished to me. I'm not a big fan of rails, it can be challenging to get the optic as low as possible, and can interfere with...
