New rifle build

is it controlled feed winchester or push.awesome caliber if you handload.hart featherweight with that bore diameter doesnt leave much meat on barrel.if sighting in better wait 5 mins between shots for cooling to get a true reading on accuracy capabilities.

yes i own the win mag.also a 300 dakota.im older now and shoot the win more often.nothing wrong with any of the big 30s.just not necessary.its been around a long time and handles much n/a game.the dakota is a big 30 and i had that built instead of the ultra mag.like to do different.yer the 300...

.280 AI & .270 win, is there a difference?

270 win is a classic.280ai is to me a top 3 all time cartridge.if your rebarreling i would do 280ai.that is if you reload your own.

300 RUM vs 30 Nosler

both good rounds.the critters wont tell the difference.i have custom 300 dakota and 300 win.older now and shoot the win mag more often now.with todays bullets its plenty.

Looking for reviews of the 280 Ackley improved

had one built for my dad 25 years ago.he shot a 06 before that.he was hesitant.well gave it to him on his birthday.it was 2 lbs lighter all up.the look on his face 1st time he shot it priceless.he used it constantly.280ai is one of the top 3 cartridges to me ever chambered.
