2001 vw jetta manual diesel- 42 mpg
2000 F350 diesel- 12 mpg
Bought the vw 4 years ago for 5g and it has saved quite a but of fuel money for me. I drive it for hunting purposes too. Has plenty of room in the hatch for hunting gear and hauls two kayaks.

We use an older 10x20 montana canvas tent and when it gets to 70-80 in sept the interior is probably 5-15 degrees hotter. But we just keep the doors open and the window in the back open and its comfortable again.

Im tired of using my stiff ass mountain trekking boots for trail hikes. Basically, they are overkill. Looking for suggestions. Thanks
If it matters, im running hanwag gtx and hiking treks for elk/west hunts.

I feel sometimes its easy to overthink whitetails. If its so thick you couldn’t picture a deer walking through it, then they probably aren’t there. If theres no sign then move on. Of course it needs to be during the period they would be putting sign down.

We use it when we boondock and work remote. My gf parents live in a spot that didnt have a wait but there are also hacks that you can do to get your equipment faster. Overall happy with the experience so far. Its fast enough to do zoom and teams video meetings.

To everyone saying the boots got hot and shrunk, I was meticulous that they weren't put near a fire or in a hot car, yet they still shrunk. It seems that once the boots get really wet, they shrink even if you just let them dry in the sun.
Im in the same boat. I shot a buck this year and want to favor his right side because its bigger and he had a wound from a bobcat behind his right ear.
Im thinking this semi upright looking left but havent decided yet.

I'm already familiar with MOA and was going to go with that on the scope I chose. I would much prefer to dial and hold dead on. I think the Trijicon Credo XS 2.5-15x42 fits that bill nicely.
I have a 6.5prc that im looking for a scope to match to. Ive heard the big downside to ffp is the crosshairs are very faint on low power for hunting. So im looking at sfp scopes and my concern is the feasibility of doing the math in the moment of the shot and being accurate. Say on half power...
Anyone else experience the boots shrinking after a season of use? Especially in the toe box, like curling in on the top of your toes? Ive had 2 sets do this. They warranted the first set. My dad had it happen too. Makra trek boot and combi gtx.
Im looking for a similar fitting boot that will...
