There’s no definitive science to it. The only thing that’s fairly consistent on a set up like that is you’ll run more weight out back than up front. As far as positioning and length that all comes down to individual feel from experimenting with your set up. If there was a true science to it...
If you move it towards the limb tip that will sometimes solve the issue of a low tear providing everything else is correct such as cam timing and arrow spine.

These are pretty an inexpensive addition to your jig. Or you can get a piece of masking tape and a protractor and make your own.
As suggested the Traverse is a great option. The Hoyt Ultra models also are good options. Just make sure it has the right cam/mods for the longer draw lengths. You can usually find both used at fairly reasonable prices.
Ultra is my choice as well. I’m still shooting my RX 4 Ultra. At 27” draw and 70# I can still get around 260 fps with a 450gr arrow. I’m still able to shoot well past 100 yards before my sight bottoms out.
The Axcel is a great sight however the CP is in my opinion a better sight. It’s basically 3 sights in one. Fixed pin, multi pin slider, and single pin slider. The Option sights are super smooth to adjust as well. Customer service from both companies is equally as good as the others. Can’t go...
Start with a good quality rest. Hamskea gets my vote.
Second I’d get a good stabilizer. Preferably something 10-12” that has adjustable weights.
Third a good sight. Something with 2nd and 3rd axis adjustment.
Also a good quality release that has adjustable trigger tension and travel...
Yeah I saw that on a video after I had posted this. I am of the same thought that it’d be nice on the same sight tape. Maybe differentiated by two different color pointers.
Simply put you’re not going to save the original finish. Anything that will strip that paint will strip the original finish. I would contact some film dipping companies and see what they would charge you to refinish the bow. Be less headache honestly.
