Mathew’s first because of parts availability. I’d put Hoyt next just because of brand recognition/durability. I’d probably put BowTech/Elite in the next slot. The PSE. Worst of the major brands is Prime. They’re hard to get rid of. All the other brands are a toss up.
Yes shimming is the correct way to fix the issue. If they’re unwilling to do it then you need to go elsewhere. Maybe a trip over the mountain to The Bow Rack in Springfield would be in your best interest. It’s an easy fix, they just have to be willing.
There’s a few factors that can cause that. Anchor and or face pressure. Trigger punching. Torque on the loop from
the handhelds and none from the index. Different jaws on the release letting the loop go differently. A half inch is easy to correct for. I’d correct it using the index and then...
And that honestly has ZERO to do with anyone else. Your experience with injuries is not someone else’s and shouldn’t be projected on them as if what they are doing is wrong. The forefathers of bow hunting used to shoot 70+ pound longbows and recurves. Were they wrong too? Stop trying to shame...
Well you only have two options if you’re intent on UV only. The thumb button or the hinge. Assuming it’s going to be used for hunting purposes the thumb button would be the better choice. There’s not any difference between the aluminum body or the stainless steel except for weight and color...
We received one of these today at our store. It’s a really nice sight. Some really good features on it. Very smooth adjustments. For the size it’s also extremely light weight. These will be a top seller for sure. And as far as price goes it’s not much more than others currently on the market.
In my opinion no company makes a good G size lighted nock. Not a big fan of lighted nocks anyways but the G size are all trash. Best nock for that size arrow is a standard Deep 6 nock from Easton.
I also live in AZ. I won’t even leave my bow in my garage for extended periods of time in this heat. My truck is regularly 120plus when I get out of work at 5pm. Definitely not a good idea to leave your bow in there during the day.
Any Mathew’s dealer can still order you new limbs. For that old of a bow they’ll only come in black as they don’t have that camo film available anymore. You could probably find a used set, however, they’ll not have a warranty unlike ordering a new set from a dealer.
I have one of these sights. It’s a well built sight however I have an issue with the design of the second and third axis adjustments. The second axis needs to be independent from the vertical gang adjustment bolt. The third axis adjustment needs to accessible without running the windage to the...
