Long Term Care Insurance - Anyone Have Experience With Having Care Paid For?

All that you have said is what I am starting to realize, from seeing and helping family going through lining up placement for Assisted and Memory care. Also, from some of the situations that I have encountered over the summer during my Nursing internship on a Med/Surg floor. In my limited...

Long Term Care Insurance - Anyone Have Experience With Having Care Paid For?

So what is the best action to take to ensure that care will be paid for both ST and LTC in facilities? We have no kids to go live with when we get to that point. My personal main concern is that I am pretty sure that I will have to end up in a memory care facility. Every male on my mothers...

    Tree stand seat cushion

Saw the other day that Lone Wolf is re-releasing their mesh seat. It is similar to the Millennial seats. Might be a bit before you can get one, they are replacing all the ones that were shipped previously that had some kind of failure.

    Non-standard tips to share....

Fill an old sock with half baking soda and cat litter. Use it to powder down body one you get to hunting area when it is hot and sweating is unavoidable. Or if you are like me anytime of the season. Kitty litter absorbs sweat, baking soda deodorizes enough.

    Battery Storage

How is everyone storing batteries once the packaging is opened? Bought a few bulk packages of alkaline batteries today, of everyday use size batteries that were on sale. Other than keeping at a constant temp, not overly warm or cold, not a wet environment, and keeping terminal from making...

    Madison WI

Up by Wausau, several hour drive North of Madison, there is a range with 1000 yd line. Driftless area is good trout fishing, even over into Iowa. Iowa does not have the trout season like Wi does. Tags and license sg=hould be cheap with first time buyer fees. I would say go to Lake Michigan to...

    Tree stand seat cushion

I have used different closed cell foam pads, like the Husky Knee pad above. When it gets really cold I have a thin cushion from a company that use aerogel insulation on top of the closed cell foam. Seem to keep me a bit warmer.

Archery and Hunting have no place in the schools

It's not just these programs. I have not seen a shop class or home Econ class mentioned in any curriculums in a long time. Just know what you are told, don't use your mind to figure problems out.

1st Year Veggie Garden Questions - MN

Yes. I try to be diligent and spray nightly since I irrigate in the mornings. I can get it reduced but then if I miss a day it takes a few to get it back under control. I started just cutting off infected leaves on cucumbers, squash and zucchini. I know part of my issue is lack of air flow. I am...

    Bad Neighbors

It is not just Californians. I think it is a generational thing. The guy I do side work for had a younger couple move in. They killed the lawn off and planted it all in clover. Now the rabbits and deer hammer his garden and manicured lawn. They think they are saving the environment by only...

1st Year Veggie Garden Questions - MN

Yes. This Fall I am planting some oats over our entire garden and will cut and let lay as a mulch/green manure. I will broast clover sometime in the summer, between rows to help keep weeds down. This year has been a good year for weeds. I can't keep up with pulling them. I am constantly...

    UPS Strike

One thing that people don't always know is that you may decide to not join a Union at a workplace. But if you ever need their help with an issue the Union can charge you for their time and services that are provided. By the time you pay that bill you would be ahead to just pay dues. Several...

    Bad Neighbors

When did this change for insurance companies. If the stump is on your property it is your tree and you are liable if it falls and damages someone else's property. Especially if it is documented as being a hazardous tree.

Has anyone laid hands on the 22 by Springfield? Thoughts, impressions? May be a bit early as I saw it released just the other day. Thanks.

Cutting Weight on a Sig Cross

Just looking at pictures of Cross'. Is the Pic rail removable. I know the one one piece rails add rigidity but they add weight when looking to drop it. Could you figure where you want to mount scope then remove most of it? I asked Savage the same thing about milling off part of the Pic that is...

What do you do about ATV/Snowmobile idiots?

Pretty sure the fines are pretty stiff in WI for riding off trail and also when trails are closed. With the amount of snow in the picture I can not see the actual snowmobile trails even being open at that time.

    Shipping via UPS

It ask depends on who you talk to. Seems like everywhere no one really knows the policy. If you are shipping from and to a location in their limited delivery territory Speedy Delivery has been good to me and way cheaper than UPS or FedEx.
