Not sure how you paid but I worked with my credit card before and received a full refund when scammed over PayPal f&f in a very similar situation.
Even if the funds were sent using your debit/checking account, it would be worth calling your bank.
You’re in good shape and will do great. So much pen is put to paper on public land elk hunting because it is very much in demand and elk are TOUGH to hunt in over the counter units.
Mulies are fairly predictable, less skidish, and a lot easier to harvest than elk. Look for mixed habitat up...
Thank all. It was around ten degrees this morning and I saw more deer up high (including a decent buck). Didn’t see elk but I did see fresh as in last night tracks in the sand. Back at it tomorrow!
I drew a Colorado 61 cow tag that started today. As a local I’m pretty familiar with the Uncompahgre (beautiful country!) and took a cow up there last year (September tag though). I hit the spots I’m familiar with that hold elk and hoofed it over seven miles today and only saw one elk at last...
As a local I’m fairly familiar with 61 and love taking the family up there to hike or play in Big Creek. Last year I blew a few points on a 1st season cow tag and had a beautiful and successful hunt up Mesa Creek.
I drew a 4th season cow tag for this fall (Thanksgiving week) and am wondering...
I shot exactly one deer with a 180g Hornady SST (similar bullet construction to the ELD) with my '06 before going back to Accubonds. The bullet deflected off a rib upon entry, pulled a 90 degree turn, and exited out the spine. Defiantly a DRT kill, but not predictable performance.
Sometimes.... I did have a game warden last fall tell me where to find elk and he was absolutely correct. I was hunting a trophy unit (CO 61) with a cow tag in my pocket though.
I actually paid for the 10X42 but fortunately used goods and services. Just got off the phone with paypal and the scammer won't see a dime.
I feel like an idiot for falling for it.
