If you can find one, the SWFA 1-6 HD would do what you’re wanting perfectly. I’ve not used any others, but several other manufacturers are also making LPVOs that might do what you want.

I have a small cattle operation, but only as a side gig. I did not inherit any part of it, land, equipment, etc. My goal is to have the cattle pay for themselves and maybe cover property taxes. I enjoy it, but have been doing it almost ten years and have yet to turn a profit. In reality...
The method you describe will work, but I see no need to remove the neck bushing to set shoulder bump. You could do it with the neck bushing installed. You can do it by feel as you describe, but one of the shoulder bump gauges will show you a quantifiable amount you are bumping. I have run...
The results from the 1” model obviously leave much to be desired, but I can only report how the 30mm tubed model did for me. I haven’t tried any of the 1” tubes.

Nightforce are probably the most reliable scopes currently made. I had the SHV F1, and it was a good scope, but the glass left a little to be desired, and I dont care for Nightforce’s reticle selection.
I’ve had good results with the SWFAs. Fantastic scopes for the $, reliable, track correctly...
By memory, in chronological order, cartridges I have killed deer or larger sized game with:
30/06, .243, .270, 7mm-08, .260 Rem, .250 Savage AI, 25-284, .308, .257 Wby, 6.5x47 Lapua, 22-250, .223, 6.5 Creedmoor, .22GT. Might have left some out but that’s the best I can recall at the moment...
1st Bartlein is still going strong. It’s on my heavy/match gun. The new one is on my hunting rig.
I won’t speak for turn around time for Jon, but will only say that mine was quick once I got him my barrel and action. He’s also doing shouldered prefits for some actions now. Best ‘smith in...
Just had Jon Beanland of Beanland Custom Rifles spin up another .22 GT barrel for me. This one is 20” Bartlein 5R 3B contour threaded for a suppressor. Jon cuts the most concentric chambers I have ever seen and the video is typical of his work.
The rifle shoots too. Four of the five shots...
I’ve only been hunting for about 53 years but often read on the internet about putting a bullet through the “front shoulders.” Are there rear shoulders? If so, where are they located? Are they also a good point of aim for bullet placement?
Asking for a friend…
Thanks,
John
For me, I decided 20” was the best compromise between velocity and rifle length with the suppressor. Most seem to recommend 16 or 18” for suppressor use, but I wanted a little more velocity.

Wasn’t satisfied with how the Osprey was shooting. Did ok with a load it likes at about 2900 fps, but not at velocities I expected out of the GT case. The Bartlein does much better, giving sub .5 MOA with 88gr ELD-Ms at 3080. Additionally, the Bartlein shoots pretty much every load noticeably...
