The bolt is taking way more force to lift than usual. I guess I thought that was obvious in the video lol. I've never looked closely at it before it had hard lift, so I didn't realize that it's always making contact, must be an internal issue.
Found a thread where a few people had the same issue, think I found my solution. I'll run some brake cleaner and blow it out with compressed air, then grease the ramp on the cocking piece and see if that fixes it.
See video to get a look at the issue, I don't think I can describe it any better than the video shows. It only rubs the action on initial cocking. The bolt does it in multiple actions, so I know it's the bolt. It has probably close to 3000 rounds on it, if that means anything.
Only had 9 rounds left, so not a great sample size. Bottom right rounds were the first ones through after cleaning, initial fouler was 150fps slower, then right back to normal on the next one. Lower left round was a combination of being unstead from a wind gust and a bad trigger press. Overall...
Gotta say, using the term "gouging" for what is essentially a luxury item is kinda goofy guys. Time is an element of pricing. If you need(or think you need) something RIGHT NOW, then you're gonna pay a premium. And now you can't, because the attempted seller was punished for being offensive. I...
Gave it a go at removing the sole, decided to take it to a cobbler instead. He has Vibram outsoles in stock that will work with the zero drop, going to have him put them on my Troopers once they get here.
The first one is literally the first group through this barrel lol. Second is the most recent group, not quite 200, 191 I think. Should be able to shoot in the next couple days some time
I used a pair out of a pair of scarpa shoes until they wore through, for the last month or so I've been using these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000S6GBI6?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
The tread, while not super aggressive, is insanely grippy. It does wear really fast though, since it's a...
