WTS Hanwag Alaska Boots 13.5 wide $150 shipped

Nice boots, just don’t fit my feet quite right unfortunately. I bought them last winter and have worn them enough to decide that they aren’t right for me, never actually taken them hunting. In excellent shape. $150 to your door. I use Venmo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Meindl Eurolight vs Vakuum

I got in the eurolights and didn’t care for them; they felt completely different from the Vakuums. I also noticed that they were made in Italy instead of Germany, they felt like they were a different brand of boots. Nothing wrong with them but they didn’t feel like typical meindls Sent from...

    How old for first knife?

My grandma gave me my first knife at 5, a Swiss Army knife. I cut my finger pretty good, tried to hide it from my parents but they found the cut and took the knife. I was more disappointed to lose the knife than get the cut. Whatever age, get one that locks open, that’s how I cut my finger...

Best wood stock care in Alaska (wet)

I appreciate the feedback everyone, it sounds like there may be problems or everything may work out ok but some good insurance would be to get a fresh coat of oil on the stock and metal right before heading out. It's a kimber 8400 classic and my nicest rifle so I hate to take it out in the...

    New to squirrels

Always used to use a 1022 but lately I’ve been using a ruger precision as a change of pace. Kind of fun to try to take a little longer shots; the thing is a tack driver. The 1022 will always be my favorite though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Best wood stock care in Alaska (wet)

What’s everyone using(wax etc.) to protect a wood stock in extended wet hunting? I’m heading to Alaska in a couple of months, I’m planning to take a .300wsm that has a walnut stock with an oil rubbed finish and a matte blued barrel. Very accurate and lightweight gun but I’m a little concerned...

    New Truck--Dependability

I wouldn’t recommend a f150 ecoboost. I’ve had two in a row that I needed to do either timing chain or cam phasers. Cost a small fortune. I’ll probably do a tundra next time, hopefully they get this issue fixed and are reliable

What kind of ammo for moose?

I’m going in a couple of months, I use a 300wsm so basically same caliber as your 300mag - I’m planning to use a nosler accubond but I also just got a deal on some Norma Bondstrikes, from what im seeing I wouldn’t hesitate to bring those instead

    Meindl Eurolight vs Vakuum

Has anyone tried both of these boots? I really liked the Vakuum hunter, just saw the Eurolight model is out. I like the idea of a lighter boot, I assume that they won’t last quite as long as the heavier duty Vakuum but might be worth it for the weight savings. For anyone that’s tried them, do...

    Midsize SUV Experience?

Mojave has it right, we tried several SUVs when we were shopping because my wife didn’t want a minivan. Any one of them would have been acceptable but on a whim my wife tried a Toyota sienna and loved it. Much better visibility, drives more like a car instead of a truck and the sliding doors are...
