This may not be a popular opinion but its a hog. If arras aint flying hogs aint dying. They all need a good killin, they dont all need to be recovered even if they are tasty. Wouldnt say that about a game species and dont expect folks that dont have hogs on their hunting grounds to understand.
An easier entry might be find someone that small game or waterfowl hunts in addition to big game. Build rapport on those type hunts and then maybe they will take you along on a big game hunt.
I dont disagree with you at all that the intentions are good. I am just trying to look at it from a more macro view. The reality is traditional bowhunting will always be a niche group because it takes more time and effort than most people are willing to commit to being adequate with the weapon...
Not familiar with every states season structure but of the ones I am, in order to create a traditional season, one of 2 things probably would have to happen, either adding days at the front end before regular archery or reducing days in the current regular archery structure. That's assuming a...
I have been, oh wait, I'm actually here. Most of us have no problem at all with NR's, but we do have a problem with outfitters guiding on public and their actions that go along with it.
Exactly the reason I think traditional seasons are a bad idea, just more divide between weapon choice. Stop cutting the pie into more pieces and focus on protecting the dang pie.
For saddle hunting I prefer the sitka mountain pants and wear them down to into the 20's but with some layering under them. Your avg temps might dictate something a little warmer.
A fraction of the cost you say. LOL. They did have a backpacking model. Only $215 to squirt your azz with some water.
Wont this one do the same thing...
Grew up in West Memphis but in Little Rock now. There was a really good po'boy place in Golden Meadow back a good many years ago. Dont remember the name of it though. I'm sure there are still a few good choices there. IIRC, there was also a little dive place in an old house that had awesome...
Those are good for sure. I prefer cypress corner south of Marianna. Poplar Grove BBQ was good when the original folks had it back in the day and I forgot the name of the place at Marvel but it was really good too before the guy passed away and it closed. The pie lady across the road from Craig’s...
I will concede brisket and burnt ends. Pork ribs and butts, well bless your heart, you have every right to be wrong.
Think the BBQ store would lend a couple rigs and let us make smoke in the parking lot?;)
Memphis would argue about the BBQ title. Q39 and Slaps in KC will stand up against any que anywhere in the country. The AR and MS delta region has, imo, the highest avg consistency in good to great que. It is normally just found in dives that city folks would be scared to eat in.
Mother had her first one done almost 2 years ago and is scheduled for this april for the second. She has a really high pain threshold and she took the oxy for a few days and she is scared of that stuff big time. She worked hard at the PT and has had no issues at all with that leg. A friends dad...
@mtwarden Looks like the Bowmar's have hired the chinese to find them something else to, umm, hunt since it looks like Nebraska is out. Might want to have your buddies take care of this.
