Defiance anTi x - owner scope mounting experience

Me too. I just got into my safe and looked closer at my 2 builds on that action. I don’t have any bolt clearance issues or any problems. Both scopes are mounted as low as I can get them. With Hawkins lows and NF medium rings.

Defiance anTi x - owner scope mounting experience

Have you looked at this one yet? 700 footprint, 60 degree bolt throw. I’m about to use one on a PRC build most likely. https://terminusactions.com/product/apollo-lite-ti/

Defiance anTi x - owner scope mounting experience

I have two anti X in short actions, not longs. To give you an idea on ring height with caps: I have one with a mark 5 3-18x44 in Hawkins lows and wearing the MKM machine flip caps. Then a Nightforce 2.5-20x50 with the Nightforce caps mounted in Nightforce mediums. I also have defiance...

Kelvin Down WS, I think it fits your budget, but whatever I paid for mine I don’t regret it a single bit and would pay more that I did probably

    WTB Shoulder busting MTN rifle

You need a 6lb unloaded gun if you run a 28-30oz scope and an atlas tall, or a 6.5lb unloaded gun to run a lighter 20oz scope and an atlas tall. Just to give you reference on what you need in weight of just the rifle. I have 3 built like that and lots of experience chasing weights.

Looking for ideas/outfitters in TX for late Dec trip

Yeah, I know this stuff gets tricky, especially trying to book something last minute. Good to know about the Axis, couldn't hack that cold weather like other animals I guess? Makes sense.

Looking for ideas/outfitters in TX for late Dec trip

I’m off work between Xmas and New Years, looks like Texas is my best bet for a hunt. Looking for whitetail, or maybe one of the exotics like Axis. Not really sure where to even start looking to find what’s available. Hoping someone poking around in here might have some connections or advice on...

    Fuel prices to come down.

What the White House did today was not a solution. 50M barrels? Look at these facts...in the US we consume 20M barrel PER DAY. So you "flooded" the market with 2.5 days of supply, meanwhile we only produce 15M barrels/day here at home and run at a -5M barrel/day deficit. You just pissed off...

Has anyone switched back to floored tents after going floorless?

If I know exactly where I am going and don't think I will have to move the shelter more than maybe once, I like the floorless option for size/space/convenience. But I learned really quickly on a sheep hunt that you cannot throw up a floorless just anywhere. Then add tearing down and putting...

Argentina Dove hunt trip for my 70y.o. Father

Thank you very much for the reply and the recommended outfitters! Thats very helpful as I am looking into all of those right now trying to find reviews and figure out how they like to run things. Argentina Dove hunt trip for my 70y.o. Father

Thank you for the detailed response, I greatly appreciate it. I was already thinking about how to spread out the travel like you mentioned, but helpful to look more at Buenos Aires rather than spending all the time in Cordoba. A lot of what you describe is exactly as I was envisioning it. By...

Argentina Dove hunt trip for my 70y.o. Father

My dad turns 70 next year and I want to gift him a father/son bucket list trip of a lifetime...looking for any insight anyone cares to provide. My dad has taken up more bank fishing and trap shooting in the last 5 years more than hunting trips and sporting clays anymore. He’s in good health...

    RimFire Surpressor noob

My TBAC 22 takedown gets used more than any can I own. Takes down easy, soak, scrub with a nylon brush, soak, rinse, put the baffles back together and off you go. Very easy and haven't not had to adjust zero yet.
