My wife is at it again...

She just turned 75 years young. My wife has been turkey hunting a long time and has killed a lot of turkeys. Today she got her PB. A stud for NC. 22# 14oz with 1.5" spurs, 10.5" beard (paint brush). I got another one of those txt I really like, it said "he's down". She does it all on her own...

When to call your taxidermist

Glad you got your cape. The only time I call my taxi is if he called me first and got VM. Otherwise, I figure he is doing the best he can. They all seemed to be backed up if they do good work.

100 grain Barnes TSX enough for hogs?

You have been given good advice above on shot selection. Sows can be killed with a good lung shot no problem. The problem with boars is you rarely get a blood trail on a chest shot. Shoot the ear hole, no tracking, no wasted meat.
