Has anyone experienced burn out due to shift work and night shift?

Spent 3 years working 2pm to 12am an hours drive one way from home. I hated every minute of it. Some of it was 7 days a week. I started looking and lucked up on something else to get me out of that rut.

Tis the season of poaching charges

$3000 to $40,000 for a baited deer in a no bait zone, nothing wrong with that, right? What's a few "bucks" between friends?

    Idaho vs Oregon

That's the answer I was looking for. For the most part, Colorado used to be the same way but now they opened almost all of my old stomping grounds to ATV traffic and it completely ruined my spots. Back in the 80's, all you had to do was get 2 miles from the access point and the hunting was...

What's something you wish you would have learned sooner in life

That alcohol won't help you solve anything. It will cost you in many ways other than $$$. You can do just fine without it.

    Idaho vs Oregon

I am vaguely familiar with Idaho, and for something other than boot access, I would call Idaho dirt or trail bike friendly. A ton more trails open for motorcycles than for 4 wheelers. I have never been in Oregon but would like to know about NF/BLM access there. Will a 4 wheeler benefit you...

    rechargable aa batterys

Eneloops when fully charged only put out 1.2v. Those that say they like them likely have very low pic volume on cell cameras. I run cameras on hog feeders where I have high pic traffic. I have found that the AA's that store 3v and put out a constant 1.5v to be a much better choice for me. There...

Do you 'test-drive' your new gear before the season?

I do, teepee, sleeping bag, boots, wood stove, food, COFFEE etc. If I am going to take it, I want to know that it is going to get the job done right when I need it to.
