The eyepiece was not unscrewed. I checked the top turret and side turret. Those looked fine so I looked for what else it could be so I unscrewed the eyepiece and saw the hole. The eyepiece was tight with the scope.

I tried it out in sunny conditions and it was crystal clear. It rained later that day so I brought it out and it fogged up and had condensation. The eye piece was all the up.

It was completely fogged up and blurry.
I checked everything around the scope and unscrewed that eye and saw the hole so thats why it was unscrewed so far. I took a picture of it like that

It wasn’t that far. I screwed out back farther to get a picture. It was to the top of it

It is 2 years old. In the sun it works fine.
I agree with doing both
Two years but mostly in the safe. Taken out maybe 10 times

Moose hunting day. There was a little precipitation but we see a bull so I take my scope covers off. After 15 minutes the bull comes out of the brush and gives us a broadside shot. I put my rifle up and look through my scope. Everything was super blurry and the bull blended into the bank because...
I bought a well used one and was wondering if this is a problem with the unit or my expectations were too high. The scope is not clear, as hard as I try to focus it will be mediocre at best. It was raining last night and I spotted a grizzly and wanted a better look but all I got was eye strain...
If you can be a little less strict on the length requirement you can get the maven rs.2 for $550. It is 12.4 inches, 13 oz, and is a 2-10x38

I was looking at those but can’t justify buying anything atm. Just planning for this fall so I know what to look for

I have a pair of 10x maven b1.2s and a maven s1. I’m thinking of adding a compact spotter or 15x binos. Hunting moose and bear in Ak. I’m sure both are not a need but a want. I think some trips it wouldn’t be required to take my spotter and new gear is always nice.
I’m thinking leupold 12-40...
