I agree with AKTroutbum, your desert hunt you won’t be in an area, or I wouldn’t think, that you are back packing. The Pro 3600 will be fine. The Pro 7200 would also work fine for your back pack hunts as it has plenty of room and the clients generally don’t carry as much as the guides.

I have a FHF Gear Bino Harness Pro-M to move out of my supply. It is the medium size and is in the coyote brown. It is in excellent shape, no modifications and no rips, tears or stains.

I have three Kifaru items I am liquidating: 44 Mag, 22 Mag and Sherman Pocket
44 Mag: Wolf Gray, no modifications, used on one 8 day trip. No issues at all, but has some dust on it. $225
22 Mag: Wolf Gray, no modifications, used on one 8 day trip. No issues at all, but has some dust on...
It should snap onto the string, but once on, should be able to slide up and down the serving with very little or slight tension. You should also be able to twist it around the string and your peep shouldn’t twist. Most manufacturers nocks will fit well with a center string/serving at about .110”...
I have a Kifaru Stryker in Wolf Grey that is looking for a new home. It has been out on one three day scouting trip. It looks like new.

Settle down on the name calling and political reference nonsense. The thread will get locked if that stuff continues.
You can agree to disagree on the content of the thread, but without the posts that have no place on Rokslide.
And the five pounds at heavier weight is not noticeable. How many people by day two have ate and drank five pounds worth of food and water and their pack feels exactly the same?
I think if you want this thread to be the most helpful to new backpack hunters, you should post up your gear list and what each item weighs. Then people can get a much better idea based on what they do or don’t take. Random numbers are moot to me; some of these numbers are so low, I truly don’t...
I think that is your opinion. This same type of thread has been done a dozen times. And it is always my pack weighs this except for these other items. And in reality it doesn’t matter what someone else’s pack weighs. There are to many variable from each persons hunt, style of hunting, optic...
I understand your point, but this thread is comparing an Apple, to an orange to a pineapple.
The weight of specific gear is relevant, but that hasn’t been discussed. You can figure roughly a $100 a pound to reduce most parts of your sleep system. But lighter isn’t always better. If you need a...
These threads are pointless in reality. I don’t care what other people’s pack weighs. If you can do 8 days and have it weigh 40 pounds great, if it weighs 60 that is great to.
Not everyone carries the same gear. If you carry a tripod, spotter, binoculars, range finder, weapon, food, shelter...
