Carbon is stronger and lighter. I can’t think of any reason, for this tent, to use aluminum.

Nothing I am aware of, but I don’t work there and haven’t heard anything about an update to that. But there could be, but it’s not a tent I would be testing based on how I hunt.

I think more like 4-6 ounces. I just weighed mine just as I pack it and it weighs 3 pounds 1.6 ounces all in.
