I'm wondering how this would work and with a stove? can anyone give me some feedback on peoples experience with how much or little room there is sleeping let alone having people put gear on.
thanks!
I just took a versailite to alaska and was a little worried about the moisture from my bag hitting the tent but it did amazing. I love how much less space they take up in my pack as well
I'm looking at selling my jet stream to cut back on always having to carry my rain jacket. Did you think the M7 was as warm as the jet stream? I like to think that with the jet stream and rain jacket it adds a little more warmth but I'm just not sure! I'd love your input!
Could you compare the M7 jacket to the sitka jet stream. I love the idea of not having to pack a rain jacket since this is waterproof but the extra layer with a rain jacket helps to stay a little more warm. Do you think the jetstream is less warm than the M7?
I'm hearing that bush pilots are having a very hard time getting fuel to fly and even commercial flights are getting cancelled due to the shortage. Has anyone heard anything about this?
You couldn’t be more right! This is what I did before I added the break and I have no idea why I’m worrying about it just because I have the break. Haha just paranoia
I just put a muzzle break on my 300 and I'm going to alaska in september. in the past I just put duct tape over the end of the barrel. Do you people with muzzle breaks just duct tape the entire break to keep debris out or do you do something different?
TIA
I have been using the garmin instinct solar and love it! The gps sucks the battery dry but I only use it on occasion, when I have used it it’s been pretty dang good. I like features like sunrise and set, for some reason I like knowing moon phases so for me that’s a cool feature, triple sensors...
I was watching meat eater a couple days ago and they used a pump action pellet gun for ptarmigan. Anyone here bring an air pistol or rifle for small birds, rabbit or squirrels? Seems like a cheaper option and lighter to carry around in the hills
I'm going on a drop camp moose hunt in ak in september and I'm hoping to get my first bear as well. When caping a bear should I also cape the skull as well or do you leave that part for the taxidermist? I've watched a lot of videos and it looks like most people leave the skull but they are...
I’ve been training for a diy drop camp moose hunt in September which have increased my pack weight and I’ve been doing a lot more ankle, and knee stability exercises in hopes for a heavy pack out in the tundra! Love it!!
Which would you favor? I like the idea of being near the river or pond but if the forest is too thick and you can’t see anything does it make more sense to set up camp up high where you can wake up and start calling and glassing? In a perfect world the glassing nob would be close to water to...
I’m headed for a moose hunt September 7th this year in the northern part of the talkeetna range. Just wondering if anyone has experience up there or can give some insight about strategy?
