Thanks.
For now I’ll stick with factory Winchester 150 xp. Very devastating.
Too bad Intel had set up shop and buying everything! Such high yield tillable is soon condos…
I have both the accupoint (with chevron tho) and creedo. I agree accupoint might be best suited.
What I like about the ffp creedo mrad (not the hx) is at low powers the donut is gone leaving reticle, illum if you like. And if ever you need to stretch distance the exposed turret dials and you...
Thanks, I’ve done a lot hunting in licking country!
Would you characterize the wounds internally like the tmk - devastating but no exit, or underwhelmed with tissue damage also?
This is great detail info, I’ve read a lot on those regional methods! Yes I actually remember magazines with printed words!
Late season on a now gone large family farm I would take my lever and slow/sneak thru the bedding. I get the close fleeting opportunities!
I have been using trijcon...
I did same thing with my Winchester 32 spl. Irons got hard with my prescription. The FF3 has a good auto bright mode works very well in very low light. No bleeding or compromising your target. It’s very fast imo and use.
If you found this in a 223 be sweet. This optic fits your needs. I’d...
My grand fathers Winchester model 1902 single shot short/long!
My 2000 tundra
All of my filson wool and waxed cloth
The original lacrosse snow king. Plus the PFT extreme and 3 of their rubber boots.
My Mickey Mouse and Bunny boots.
Coleman lanterns and stove.
Off top my head.
Oh, my elk...
Yes. 1/8” and thinner and no shorter than 3/4” tall if that gives a mental pic. Thin is less robust so a less acute angle 30 vs say 20 still is very sharp for such a thin knife and adds some sharp durability if you will. But definitely less prone to chips on bone with 30 ish in this example...
You asked about angles. Nice to hear blade forums mentioned, used to be heavily involved there and knife forums.
For knives of thin stock I use 25 or even 30 per side. The later if it’s a “chippy” super or stainless. I can still shave with a 30 degree if it’s actually sharp and thinner blade...
These threads always get too detailed, so maybe that post wasn’t smart by me.
I agree with roweeya. Although I’m older I’m more comfortable with 5mm.
The CL is a great bino as many attested as do I. You seemed specially focused on low light, in timber. Even a great 8x30/32 will gather less...
I’m a little concerned with muzzling of front office too if players. Agree with you certain they’ll be reduced whatever that means.
Same crew with KC sbd packers right?
8x42 = 5.25 mm exit pupil
8x50 = 6.25
All things equal it’s potentially brighter.
8x56 = 7.00
10x50 = 5.00
10x56 = 5.60
I own quite a bit of alpha. Lens coatings can also have an effect. My zeiss 8x42 victory fl are extraordinary in how bright they are, a blue ish vs my swaro which is...
I own ZEISS victory fl also.
If you can find used alpha glass any of the big three will do. Mechanically all things equal that is brighter and gathers more light than an 8x30.
If I’m stand hunting. I want the brightest and widest fov. Timber is dark and I want to Identify and discern specific...
I have the 8x30 cl 2nd gen and love them. That said they would not at all be my choice for in the timber deer hunting. Assuming you’re not stalking. Most definitely want the light gathering of an 8x42 alpha glass.
I use my cl for archery stalking, mainly in mountain environments.
no body is suggesting that energy however measured or stated is not a predictor of work potential. Work potential is in no way a measure of tissue damage. Guns were specifically designed to kill living things. To ignore or diminish real animal evidence and as you stated in post 24 a simpler...
